Keegan upset with Ashley about: Milner: ashley wouldn't improve his contract although players who are not in the team are on double his wages, sold to villa Barton: keegan backed him and got no backing from ashley, ashley tried to sell him at last minute to portsmouth Owen: ashley wanted to sell him to tottenham, keegan wanted to give him new contract Smith: keegan said we have to keep him, squad is too small, ashley wanted to sell him to everton and to top it off: the transfer window

Really, because all the qoutes I've heard say 2 or 3 players, and in the Newcastle World interview with KK, he says that the situation was the same as Friday night (i.e. 4 or 5 irons in the fire, 2 far along, 3 maybes). He said they hadn't moved along as he was too busy preparing for the match. video: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/match_of_the_day/7590242.stm "

I hope you two are taking the piss
-
the players are not goods or services, that's why players require work permits
-
For. It make's it more exciting, and means players have to stay committed to a club for at least 6 month

The Times match report is even better for it's reporting of the Barton and Nasri incident to the point where they almost applaud Nasri's trip. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/premier_league/article4649029.ece that is an absolute disgrace
