I agree. In some ways I'd rather he didn't, tbh. Please explain I see that Chris P has pretty much taken up the argument on my behlaf whilst I've been watching Falling Down on ITV4. But I'll recap/paraphrase my own thoughts with a rather NE5-like "Be careful what you wish for"/"Better the Devil you know" type message. At no point so far have we been shown any evidence that Moat's credentials to own/run the club (other than Moat being a Geordie and a mate of Big Al's) are any better than Mike Ashley's credentials. We think things are bad now - but then you have to remember the shit that Leeds went through in the aftermath of ousting Ridsdale, etc etc. Just when you think things have reached their nadir, you get a further nasty surprise. It's not all that long ago that Ashley was being feted as the new saviour - Shepherd was gone, Ashley was here...woo-hoo! And now look what we've got. Fair enough. I just don't see how anyone could be worse than a Mike Ashley who doesn't want to be here. He clearly won't put any money into the club, and he's making no attempts to run us at all, let alone run us properly. Even if he did take us off the market again, as soon as another backlash hits him, he'll be coming out with this same shite again and try to sell, bringing on another drawn out saga of deadlines and instability. We desperately need to get rid of him this time. Yeah. I'm not saying I'm keen to keep him. Just that I still think there's possibly worse options out there we could have thrust upon us.

It's just the thought of him going through on the keeper and physically pulling his ribs apart of whatever. I always had it down for more, not hunching over the ball so you drag the shot, opening up to give you more control of the shot. Can you draw a diagram to help others understand what the fuck you are gibbering on about?

. . and what would be the point of him buying it anyway, he couldn't afford to run it. The BEST we could hope for with him, it seems (which would be 'hopeless', but still better than right now actually) would be 'mid-table Premier League nothingness', like we used to think of Villa, Everton, Spurs, Man City & co. Still, no matter who (if anyone) buys the club, it is difficult to imagine us ever competing 'season in season out' for the Premier League Title - which was always the Sir John Hall aim, and is always where a club with such huge support and resources (income) such as us, should always be. No, the short term future is poor for us. The medium term future is poor for us. The long term future is poor for us. Basically, as "achievers" and "potential achievers" I think we have HAD IT. We will always just be able to look back at the recent 'SBR' and 'first-KK' eras . . . and D R E A M. Thats all. It really is refreshing to see someone on here displaying such a positive outlook. Please point out where he's wrong though. In short, he isn't. Its ludicrous that teams about a fifth of the size of this club (Notts Cty, Portsmouth) have no problem finding buyers. I share some of the concerns already raised about Moat's capacity to fund the club to the extent that a large section of the support seem to think is their birthright. It's always bemused me a bit that we expect some rich benefactor to come along and spraff their millions on the club like it's some Arab Sheikh's plaything...I mean, the only time that one would work would be if the club actually was an Arab Sheik's plaything. The only point I was really taking issue with was the inherent defeatism in manorpark's post - not that I'm saying it's not entirely understandable given current circumstances. I just don't see what being all Eeyore about our prospects does for us as fans, other than the spread defeatism throughout the ranks.
