And obviously much cheaper remuneration package than Ashley forks out for Pardew. Aye, winner that one like.

Would snap your hand off.

So how do you go about cancelling the season ticket? I mean, I know I could just cancel the Direct Debit online with the click of a button but do I need to tell the useless twats in the ST office at SJP anarl?

The thing with Laudrup.... he is kind of flavour of the month. He's doing a good job of course but no better than Rodgers and who is to say he could get us up to scratch?! Mind, there is no real guarantees in football when it comes to managers so who knows really. He would be a gamble like, as would Adkins or Martinez. Don't be silly. Laudrup has it all, you can see it in an instant - just listening to him speak never mind the football. A winner. Aye, and we all know that Cheryl Cole would be a reet good shag anarl, but there's nee chance of that happening either.
-
It'd be a good appointment, clearly but (a) there's no way we'd be able to wrest him from Swansea (b) there's no way Ashley would recruit him as he'd not be a Yes man.

Blaming the fans now. Fuck right off.

That's just it though. We wouldn't keep the likes of Ben Arfa, Cabaye, Marveaux, Debuchy, Santon etc. We'd be left with youngsters and Shola. And the new thread title is way too fucking presumptuous. Nothing to say we'd be coming straight back up this time either; if anything, quite the opposite.
-
Aye. Debuchy must feel like strangling Cabaye after being dragged here by his 'mate'. Not a bit of it. He'll at least be more visible to English football fans and they'll be keen to have him and Cabaye sign for them when we're relegated. This is just a shop window for them.

Not fancying the trip to Newcastle today. Not even expecting us to beat Reading either so just can't see the point of driving down through the snow. Anyone who wants to call me a fairweather fan, form an orderly queue. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_zYcZKDn2CMM/RrT8ck57m_I/AAAAAAAABKg/jdAvK4tFO5Q/s400/givedamn.gif

You know this sums up our experience every time a new player is linked in the transfer window...

Please that the media finds it funny. Don't you think the Guardian's already made the wisecrack with that headline?

Yes, I'm sure Ashley & Llambias deserve all the plaudits for this one. Thank goodness we have such wonderful stewards overseeing club recruitment. We'll all rest easier in our beds tonight, that's for sure. What would you have done differently? Well put it this way, if all this had happened in a nightclub, see when Dirty Harry and Filthy Fernandes came barging onto the dancefloor to crack on to Remy? I'd have told Ashley & Llambias that rather than greasing up real good, bending over and taking it like a pair of cock-hungry banditos, they needed to punch Harry and Fernando's respective lights out. Faint heart never won fair maiden and all that...

I take it this thread will just run and run like an open sore, just like the Barton and Michael Owen threads that get dragged up from time to time, if only to remind folks of either what a lucky escape we had or how cruel fate was to deny us Remy's signature? Anything less just wouldn't be the N-O way...

Would've been class if he never got injured. A much more rounded player than Carroll. Really had a lot going for him, went 10 games without scoring in the championship and was man of the match every game due to his immense work rate. That's pretty impressive for someone whose primary job is to get goals. Liked him a lot and was desperate for him to come here, such a shame what happened with him. Shit hair though. He had all of the potential in the world. He easily could've been the next Collins John or Rob Hulse. Aye, good point Tooj. A striker of Championship or Division 2 quality is exactly what we're missing right now.
