  1. There's a lot of scepticism on Merseyside when you look past the sky sports news mongs. Such a significant fee for such an unproven talent.

True but ultimately it'll come down to whether or not Pardew can handle being dictated to over players, fee's, contracts etc etc I'd wager he's probably on a percentage of the profit if we sell the club for more than x whilst he's in charge which will incentivise him to; a) go along with Mike/Dekka b) stick it out c) forget he's got any morals. Like he had any to start with. This would happen to any manager, at any club, under any owner. I dare say working for Mike Ashley would be signficantly different than doing so with his peers. Just see the turnover of directors within Sports Direct for that.
  3. Somebody holds on to grudges a long time dont they? What is your point? Bellamy still wont come here and Ireland's stock has fallen so far that a loan is all he can do for gametime, wow arent we living the dream now! Yeah funny old game indeed....... Ha ha - just loved being slated by you all for it to come full circle in no time. And the point being that nobody (within reason) is unthinkable for the summer. I was proven right with Bellamy(he still wont come here at all) though or is that unthinkable to an idiot? Ireland is only here because his career badly nosedived so even that part of your enjoyment should be wound in if you had the sense to understand it. The fact i still questioned whether i would sign him even further pisses on your point. I remember how much you loved sending abusive PM's and threats when the ignore function threw up your name, such a bitter little internet hardman, have you waited 11 months to throw that pitiful point back in my face? Fucking embarassment arent you? The irony that you are already on ignore from your last bout of disgraceful behavoir means i only need to read your posts if i chose to anyway which i will revert to not doing from this moment. Glad this was the first time i bothered to see how sad you are. Well done and goodbye again.
  4. He's frogmarching the life out of that lass what I thought http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2011/02/02/article-1352777-0D02859E000005DC-351_224x579.jpg he's practically dragging her I think the other "travellers" calling it grabbing. Poor little lass but wait until she see's his new caravan!

  6. Kint, Was thinking back to this thread:- http://www.newcastle-online.org/nufcforum/index.php/topic,68461.120.html Who'd have thought it, eh? Not even 12 months down the line and we have Ireland, Bellamy is at Cardiff. Funny old game.
  7. Never thought of it that way as when we buy players UP FRONT then that means the transfer fees will come out of our own pocket so it will be another loan from fatman or other income . The chances are we will have around £15m up front to spend. The rest will go towards wages as an ongoing expense over their deals/other players wages so there will be no money out of his own pocket and no PR disaster as the money still goes 'into the squad'. The only issue is people rather stupidly thinking the £35m will be spent on transfers as Pardew accidentally said at one point and i am sure there will be a fair few of them knocking about our fanbase. What do you think of us signing Ireland Kint?
  8. Agree with that on both counts. Johnson is a good shout and we might surprise ourselves with some of the emerging talent about on the continent. the problem with johnson would be that although his fee probably wouldn't be that great he's probably on ridiculous wages. Yeah - I know for a fact what Milner is on and it's frightening. If Johnson is anywhere near that it's a complete no go.
  9. Bit behind the times mate Fair enough So, an £8m player on £50k per week for 5.5 years will eat into the thick end of £21m of this dosh. Wonderful.
  10. Not sure if already posted but apparently Pardew has confirmed by invested - he means in the signing fee and wages. Caulkin confirmed.

  12. Who cares? Redknapp talks bullshit every other day of the year, why should we be inclined to listen now? He obviously wanted Carroll and knew he was available but he didn't want to entertain a bid as large as Liverpools. They've (spurs) obviously made an enquiry and been told it's a 'do-able' one. On that basis, he knew it had little to do with the player and more to do with the selling club. The fact that he wanted Carroll and didn't get him, or any other decent striker, means he's bitter and will say anything. The press might as well be asking Mackems what they think happened. What have the Mackems go to do with this? Did they contact NUFC and register an interest?

Yeah. How dare he let Carroll submit a transfer request? There's a huge amount more to it than than Jonny.
  14. Apparently he will talk to the press when he wants to. Interesting thats it always on the defensive and never with any proactive pieces.

October 1st, 2011 "I did all I could, I told the Board the players we needed and we only got a couple of them. The other arrivals I knew nothing about. Player X was not my player, player Y was not my player and player Z I'd never even heard of". "In the end it turns out all of those other managers who took the time to text me on the day I announced I'd taken the job were right - I was a fackin puppet and a cunt for shafting a good bloke to look after number one and my casino mates."
  18. I'm firmly in the camp of Carroll being pushed out/encouraged remember. I'd imagine his Agent has probably leant on him too. N'Zogbia whinged and whined his way through his stay (and with good reason at times to be fair to him) and would be shite for squad moral, which is a big part in why should survive this season and we why we went down last time. Also, I think N'Zog is a talented lad but not worth anything north of £10m.
  19. Wouldn't want him back in the slightest.
  20. Agree with this. He'll be back before his Liverpool contract is up for less than £10m.
  21. Broadly agree with this. Just a shame the club can't publically state it's all for debt management and not to be splurged on transfers which might send prices south. That said, the one thing the ashley regime has done is negotiated transfer fees - both in and out.

I feel (kind of) sorry for Pardew. He has to get his team motivated to go out and play but also has to deal with a whole load of shit that had very little to do with him and he certainly didn't want. You get into bed with sharks you get bitten. He knew what he was doing.
