I'm a little concerned then by the boys quality, to be frank if Tuncay and Emre are considered better than him then I hope we are not looking at him. I know absolutely bugger all about him, not exactly a huge follower of the fantastic turkish league and youtube is such a liar. It is a selection question, that probably any other manager wouldn't answer the same way. They are playing different (in comparison to Arda) and the Turks will play against the biggest favourite of the Group first. They want to take the safer option, i think. Bet, he will play against Switzerland. If you are good enough, you'll get picked no matter what formation you are playing. Would England leave out Gerard or Rooney, because they want to play a bit more defensive against team X ? The turkish national team hardly supplies the premiership with the leagues best player. If we are interested in a Turkish player then they need to be of the relative standard of a Gerard or a Rooney is to the the Turkish team. (and before you start I don't mean as good as those two players, I mean as relatively better than the rest of the national team). Isn't he only 19 or something? Maybe he's still on the verge of establishing himself in the national team? I dunno, I thought he was a bit older than that. Still doesn't change my opinion. If he's good enough it shouldn't matter, it didn't for Rooney at that age. He wont be the only player not starting for his country who could be could for us though will he Gomis Gomez Crouch they are just some of them we have been linked with

http://www.shieldsgazette.com/nufc/60000-fans-will-follow-Toon.4159629.jp NEWCASTLE United are set to take part in a pre-season tournament in Majorca as part of their warm-up to the new Premier League season. United are busy tying up the loose ends before announcing their involvement in the Summer International Cup, although organisers insist the Magpies will be flying over to the Spanish sunshine island. Newcastle will join hosts Real Mallorca, and Bundesliga teams Hertha Berlin and Hannover 96. Hannover are late replacements for Manchester City who have cancelled their plans to head for Majorca because they have qualified for the UEFA Cup through the Fair Play League next season. There has been no word from United yet about their pre-season plans, but unless he is overruled by Director of Football Dennis Wise, manager Kevin Keegan has admitted he is happy to take his first-team squad over for the tournament on August 1-3. Ylan Singer, of the company organising the competition, revealed: "It is all official. "Newcastle United will be going to Majorca along with Hertha Berlin and Hannover 96 for the competition with Real Mallorca, which will take place in the Ono Stadium. "The two semi-finals will be on August 1, with the final and the game for third and fourth place two days later. "We are now talking to both the German clubs and Newcastle about the distribution of tickets and details will be available soon." The competition is already a big talking point on the island, and organisers are expecting 60,000 fans over the two days to watch the games – with the Toon Army expected to fly over in force to combine watching the football with a summer holiday. United, of course, played competitively in Majorca in 2003-04 when they won 3-0 at Son Moix after a 4-1 first leg victory at St James's Park. Alan Shearer scored twice, with Craig Bellamy bagging the other for Bobby Robson's side, while current Newcastle defender Steven Taylor will have fond memories of the game, having made his Newcastle debut as a late substitute for Andy O'Brien. United are also hoping to line-up a couple of friendlies at St James's Park, and while a proposed game against Rangers has been knocked on the head because of their involvement in the qualifying stages of the Champions League, Spanish gianst Valencia are expected to be confirmed as visitors. Keegan's home town team of Doncaster Rovers are also keen to have United down in Yorkshire for a pre-season friendly following their promotion to the Championship.

Ahh ok, so I can complain in other threads though? Cheers for telling me what I can and can't do though, appreciate that He is saying you cant complain about someone posting about other clubs transfers in a thread for other clubs transfers if it annoys you so much why read it? Fair point. Not much point using the forum until the season starts again anyway, so I'll leave you with your spurs news and pop across to a different board. Ok Bye bye then

The home one looks exactly the same as there one last year

You sound desperate for news
-
Seems to be conflicting reports coming from everywhere some reports are saying we have met with his officials others suggesting that we are not even close to a deal. Either way cant see us getting him before Euro's coz there would have been some news by now
-
The only player who could replace him would be Messi dont know if they could get him though
-
If Man City are signing one or both of Jo and Ronaldinho then its immediately obvious who picks the transfer targets at Eastlands They said they gave a list of players to Hughes and he said he wanted them both
-
He wouldn't be under anywhere near as much pressure at Blackburn Aye but he is an idol up here and would have been given the same time as he would at Blackburn
-
The same people in the media saying Shearer would be god for Blackburn were the same ones who were saying we would be mad to get him in due to his lack of experience
-
They get it right sometimes but agreed they have got worse they used to be pretty much spot on but its still worth posting as its looking likely to happen
