If we are restricted again in the summer due to FFP as seems likely, I really hope we focus on what we need and not what’s available. I’m all for us being opportunistic regarding long term targets, however I don’t think we can afford to do that this summer at say the expense of a top RW.

People wanting Howe to be ruthless in the summer regarding the squad, probably easier said than done considering FFP. Even harder considering we won’t exactly be getting big money for anyone who we would like to get rid of.

We where very good against City for the first half, second half we couldn’t keep up the intensity or make any good subs and lost to the best team in the world in the last minute.

What strong rumours ? And I can’t see how he would feel let down with the amout he’s already been backed.

He was an Ashworth appointment so if there is any truth in that, he won’t be there much longer.

Feel like the noises coming out of the club suggest we have learned lessons over the past season and dating back till the summer window. Excited to see us move forward with that in mind.

Couldn’t agree more, although all the noises coming out of the club suggest Howe doesn’t want one.

My own view is he won’t ever have us finish higher in the league than he did last season. That’s more on FFP than on him though.

Aye but in other parts of running the club it’s been patient and methodical. We have even just accepted all the new rules and FFP stuff thrown at us. Nothing they have done so far suggests they will suddenly start making drastic changes.
