Yeah, basically if we are going to spend big on a new keeper I would want him to be a massive upgrade on Pope, I don’t think Ramsdale is.

Definitely better than dubs, think Pope is better, certainly don’t think Ramsdale would be worth the money Arsenal would want.

He will provide great cover across 3 positions, if it’s a loan it’s a no brainer. Wouldn’t have minded him here for a loan till the summer.

I’d argue our major signings bar Gordon have all be foreign ? Bruno, Isak, Botman and Tonali. Although I do wonder if the whole Tonali episode will lead us to more British based.

I wasn’t referencing you having a go at him trying to win cup games, you had quoted my original post, another member said he should have basically sacked off the cup. That’s what my original comment was aimed at.

Think that would be a really bang average window tbh, obviously loans would be cheap but I’d assume obligations to buy would be included and I wouldn’t want Ramsdale or Phillips long term.

We made wholesale changes against Man City and Man Utd in the cup, go take a look at the lineup at OT. Our youngsters clearly aren’t ready or good enough, easy enough to say throw them in but throwing in a kid in to high pressure games when they aren’t ready is a recipe for disaster.
