Once they announce the takeover they will have some heat to deal with from the press, however they will be in a perfect position to deflect this by discussing how they are working on getting games being played etc which will at least fill the back pages. Well obviously she would know if it had fallen through but nobody is suggesting that. We are working on the basis the PL checks are either failed or go on beyond the agreed exclusivity period which is why Caulkin has said the sum total of fuck all tonight. I'm not convinced the PL will rush this one through tbh. Gut feel is that the new CEO will have delayed matters whilst he takes advice and they look at every eventuality of pass/fail. I'd be surprised if their result was to be announced this week having thought it would be this week at the latest initially. I have a horrible feeling about this. Pray I'm wrong. The time period,for the tests has always been 2-4 weeks no one expected it this week.

Either way can’t really be bothered with this any more just announce the deal and let us be excited, or let us know they have failed so we can give up on this club altogether.

I think the PL will be asking questions about the piracy stuff etc, but it can't block the takeover. He is suggesting there that they will be asking them to end the piracy in order to help push through the takeover

As I’ve said earlier, surely all these issues where the first thing investigated at the beginning of these checks and any issues we would have heard by now.

Why ? None of these letters are bringing anything new up, it’s not like some revelation that the premier league or the possible owners themselves has come up. They will have answers for all of this.

It’s not as if these accusations are brand new either, surely the premier league would have looked into these before anything else

It's not so easy to do, when the motives from the Saudis are questionable, i.e. Sportswashing etc Definitely not but at the end of the day it isn’t for us to decide who owns our club and I don’t know enough about the other issues around him to get involved.
