  1. If I had a pound for every time I've seen that on here or on Twitter over the last few weeks then I could put a rival bid
  2. Message is bound to be from Steve Wraith p.s I’m hoping for an Amanda update!
  3. I think it would be good if Amanda / the consortium would come out publicly and thank the fans for all their efforts over the last week, possibly with some indication as to the current situation and their thoughts as to what happens next.
  4. Good work everyone, all helps to ramp up the pressure. Surely the PL have to put out some statement to at least try and attempt to defuse the situation.
  5. I guess in our case they want to keep the PL sweet for the next round of TV deals
  6. I'm suspicious of any media outlet not giving this at least some coverage at the moment.
  7. Exactly, the other teams shouldn't get a say as surely by its nature every takeover should in theory strengthen that team, so no other team in that league is going to be in favour of it
  8. No idea about the circulation numbers of those pages but pretty cool to see us on the front pages
  9. I’ll let future me worry about that, today we have some hope which is far better than the crushing reality of what could be around the corner if the takeover fails
  10. I love how you went from 'not a dig...' to calling them stupid, thick or sheep
  11. Liverpool done the same and look where it got them. It staggering the amount of we cannot win so why bother in the mass population over the way corporations treat us not just in football. I agree, this deal is potentially like winning the golden ticket to the chocolate factory, it could propel us to football's top table, compared to the 'at least we tried' downward facing mentality that the club is gripped by at the moment. If there is even a 1% chance we could help resurrect this deal then we should try our best.
  12. Because to counter it is to give fresh fuel to the flames and legitimises it to some extend. Like the Premier League they will just want to smother the story and let it fade out in the next few days/weeks.
  13. Honestly don’t see what Caulkin has done wrong and there are far more deserving targets for criticism than him
  14. Has Caulkin got owt right yet re. this takeover? Caulkin hasn't speculated or revealed anything beyond what the buyer's side was telling him. Dunno why folks can't get their heads around this. His take has been useful, but he's never claimed to have the inside track on the Premier League's gears which, since 9th April, is where the battleground has been - not in the boardroom with representatives between Ashley and Staveley. There's no independent party who can claim to know the precise ins and outs of the PL's process. Exactly this. I've followed a lot of his tweets and some of the podcasts he has been involved in and have felt that all his answers have been reasonably measured and usually caveated quite carefully. Yes its frustrating that he didn't seem to have any upfront knowledge about yesterdays announcement, but he wasn't the only one.
