I'm more pessimistic now than I was before, if its with Ashley then something will go wrong. Its not with Ashley, he's long passed deciding on owt, he's just waiting for his money. Except he's heard he'll get £50m more if he manages to cancel this and go with Mauriss... £10m more, surely? Would Ashley really screw over some of the most powerful people on the planet at this stage for an extra £10m, I doubt it.

This is probably an incredibly naive interpretation of the situation and how these things work, but surely the lack of leaks throughout the process is a positive sign for the negotiations. I appreciate that the process is confidential and anyone going outside the process runs the risk of massive penalties (I'm assuming), but surely if the buyers were super pissed off they would be tempted to provide a few interesting nuggets of information to a journo or two to help exert some public pressure on the PL.

Same for me, the takeover has drawn me back in after barely watching any games for the last 2 or 3 years (after many years of following all the games). The thought of an even more disinterested Ashley (if that is possible), in combination with Bruce is not something I'm sticking around for (as much as it pains me to say).
