Exactly, he’s 33 not 43! It will be an off the pitch issue or possibly an injury that is causing the issue(s). I agree that he should be rested / carefully managed, but he’s in no way finished.

Love Eddie, but I’d agree that his handling of game time / injuries / rotation has been a weakness (and probably as a consequence of him not having that experience of playing in so many competitions at the same time). Really hope Gordon isn’t out for long.

He took a chance on coming to us when he could have easily gone elsewhere and he was phenomenal last season, so he has my support I think people are right that it’s because of off the pitch reasons, so I hope gets all the support he needs
