Could also say that Norwich were lucky not to be 3/4-0 down at half time and that them getting back into it and going 3-1 covers up a lot of cracks for them as well. Make no mistake, the mistakes made tonight will not have gone unnoticed. If you look at the stats, the highlights and the manner of the goals conceded, no way you can say we were lucky or got out of jail. If they had won that it would have been daylight robbery, if they had gotten a draw they would have been lucky in the end they got what they deserved. We can't be making these games this much work though, need a thoroughly professional performance against Rotherham now to follow this up.

Still think he is not a lone striker, he needs the big man with him to feed off to get the best out of him, just like Perez does.

Having seen the highlights, not as bad as it appeared. I'm really not sure that's a penalty, Gouff mas a but naive, but their player is totally going down before any real contact. Most refs give that sort of challenge though, so like I said more naivity than anything else. The second was a great finish from a player that's often criticised for his finishing. Clearly their game plan was to catch us on the break, they executed it perfectly there. third was a wicked deflection, no way was that shot going to beat Darlow from there. If you look at the stats, it would have been a total injustice for Norwich to take anything from the game and the highlights I think back that up. We are through the tough period now, but we need to capitalise on the weakening of the schedule now, push on and get to the top and stay there.

Set up how many chances? Gayle's finishing aswell there. People said the first was easy, making that run isn't easy. The guys movement is superb, thats why he keeps getting chances. That's a huge concern for me, in a certain sense, he's our main creative force, been ever present since the Brighton game. We have no direct replacement for him. He's got to stay fit, on form and Rafa will need to think about resting him for the odd game here and there.

So we beat Norwich 4-3, Norwich had previously beaten Everton 2-0 at their place, Everton wiped the floor with Sunderland 3-0, so that makes us way better than the dirty mackems yes ?? Or is that Mackemlogic ?

You're awesome thanks man.

Please give us ex pats and jolly forrrins a link that works for us.... anyone ??

All down to Norwich throwing it away apparently: FT Newcastle 4-3 Norwich Rob Butler BBC Radio Norfolk sport Posted at 15:02 What is it with Alex Neil and substitutions that he has to tinker with it and mess with it? He's messed around with it today and he's lost the game.

That's why it's the best sport in the world, as much as I like the NFL, college american football, Rugby and cricket, it's the sheer unpredictability and passion of football that will always make it the best, there's a reason why it's the most popular team sport on the planet.

Constantly getting picked is killing us, much rather see Perez in a withdrawn role, if Rafa insists on playing with just one forward. Our future though surely has to be Mitro and Gayle up top, with Ritchie and Shelvey supplying the bullets.
-
I honestly don't understand why he is not playing more, he's perfect for this division, he needs more game time to get his goal touch back.
-
We have to learn from this though, not good enough to go 3-1 down and have to produce that.
-
23 shots to 6, 56% possession, we really should be winning games with those numbers.
-
Yeah isn't it great that we have to listen to these games on a radio stream instead of being able to watch them on TV in the 21st century.
-
Now that is good enough !!!
-
Fucking hell !!!!!!!!
-
YES, still not excited though 3-3 is not good enough but better than a loss.
-
OK I'm going on a Newcastle United strike not going to wear any of their stuff or listen to the games unless we ever get back into the promotion spots. Absolutely disgusted with this team and manager right now.
-
Could be worse, could be Aston Villa Even Villa haven't lost that many games at home this season
-
Can't use that as an excuse, Rafa has had more than enough time to get this right and been given all the authority he needs. If we don't go up this yearly it's on Rafa, and not acceptable.
-
10 games in, Norwich are pulling away from us, think it's looking more and more likely that we are battling it out for the last auto place and play offs with a bunch of other teams. With our resources, that's not good enough, disappointed in Rafa, through this first quarterish of the season. 3 Losses at home in 5 is pathetic, in this division.
-
I'm still disgusted with this and will continue to be unless it gets to 4-3
-
I barely care, even if we get another 3-3 at home is not a good enough result.

Like the Fulham, Huddersfield, Wolves games ??
