I don't know what to make of this article . The bit where he wrote: "Sitting deep, not getting stretched, makes it easier to maintain shape, to stay in formation and not get picked off quite so often. For the most part it has worked albeit, yes, at the cost of a less attacking game. That will take time, it always does." For the most part it has worked, wtf, you've got one point, one fucking point from six games. LOL, the arrogance of we've been here before, we'll get back out of it, is staggering. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/david-moyes-sunderland-afc-course-11947451

I love Rafa but I tend to agree there are those in our support that will begin to turn, that's another reason why we need a win tomorrow.
-
I know we've not played yet but that's kind of s*** and we are up against the best team in the division tomorrow night Theres 1 point between 9th and 4th currently, we've seen how quickly teams can move around. I am suprised how well Huddersfield are doing though, still going like. Brighton are ones to watch as we knew & Bristol City do alright due to that Tammy Abraham. Brentford, Sheff Wed and Bristol City all in great form right now. Honestly getting concerned, Have to beat Norwich tomorrow night now.

I know we've not played yet but that's kind of s*** and we are up against the best team in the division tomorrow night If we win our game, we go 3rd - 3 points from the top of the table. After the last two games, I'm not at all confident of beating a Norwich team that's winning everything at the moment.

Sheff Web worrying me at the moment, we could be out of the playoff spots by the end of tonight

Appy arry to get the job on a temp basis, wins a couple of games and his friends in the press start the propaganda campaign to get him the job full time. This assumes that he is clean of course, which is a huge assumption.

If the allegations are true then he really should be banned from any role in football for a period of time.
-
I agree we need to beat what is the best team in the division right now to prove to everyone including ourselves that we should be the team to be feared.

Newcastle United promoted back to the Premier League

agreed, just got a feeling will will do this sort of s***, end up in the play offs and s*** ourselves. oh well.. I was think the exact same thing on my drive home from the kids swimming this morning. We should have loaned a PL reserve like Bristol City did if we couldn't find one. Surely Rafa will see this as an issue though. The good thing is although we've not won the last two games we've controlled them, just not good enough in front of goal and shooting ourselves in the foot. He has to think about playing 2 up front more often, I'm not convinced at all about Diame. No coincidence that our best result of the season came playing with two strikers. -
Got a bad feeling about results going today, hope I'm wrong. Norwich look like the team to beat in this division.
-
Funny thing is he has zero success rate at this level.

Because in the game that is for Sunderland fans, they have to somehow show they are superior to us in any way they can, pretending to be other clubs fans then slating NUFC is uber clever stuff in their eyes.
-
I think this was a very important signing really. Him and Hanley offer good cover to the first choice pairing.
-
Or play against Coloccini every week. I was going to say, he never seems to have had a problem in that department when he's lined up against us.
-
Fulham away would be my guess, if their score holds up as is.
-
Michael Carrick playing for Manure tonight, obviously if he's good enough to play for them still then this could be a moot point but would have been a awesome signing for us this year. I'm sure he wants to play for us before he retires, this would have been the perfect time for that and fills the big hole we have in the squad which is someone who can play when we need to rest Shelvey.
-
What a mess. It's like they are signing players with weird names. It even looks ridiculous. Who is asoro? It' not far off their first choice 11, playing the reserves is not excuse for them tonight.

Right now surely Hughes is favourite to be the first PL manager for the chop. I wouldn't be surprised to see Bilic and Mourniho run him close though. Think Bilic seems to be the kind of manager that has an instant impact, then has trouble sustaining that level, their new "non football" stadium isn't helping them either. Don't know what's happened to Jose, the last few years, the magic seems to have gone. Manure may not give him a lot of time to get things right there.

I get where you are coming from, we've taken too many losses already, but we are still trying to figure a few things out in my mind. We need to first and foremost work out how to approach games, the way we set about things at QPR as opposed to Derby and Bristol was completely different, we got spectacular results from the approach at QPR but at the same time we were efficient and came away with the result we needed at Derby and Bristol playing in a completely different manner. We got it wrong at Fulham by being too negative, Huddersfield are a good team that took their chances at SJP, for me the Wolves was the most disappointing as that was a game we should have won comfortably, a self inflicted defeat down largely to the way we were set up and the personnel choices. We can batter teams in this division, we have the quality to do that as we showed against QPR but sometimes you have to be a little cautious and conservative. Since the Fulham game, Rafa has got our away setup right each time, we are probably ahead of the objective away from home 3 wins out of 4 is an excellent return. I honestly didn't expect us to lose more than 2 games all season at home before the season started especially when we factored in how dominated we were at the tail end of last season on our own patch against superior opposition. So the home form is a bit of a concern right now. Rafa needs to take what is was that made the QPR game so good and translate that into a way we can play at SJP moving forward and keep doing what he is doing away from home. On paper this was always the toughest month of our fixture list, I'll be more than happy if we come out of it in the top two, if we win the next two games (which we are more than capable of) that's a guarantee and I think we are on schedule.
-
They'll play the "we sent out a reserve team" if they don't win Not sure how they'll play a reserve team tonight, as their starting 11 is pretty much a reserve team as they have no players. I think they'll still win quite comfortably, not 6-0 but doubt they have too many difficulties, QPR are awful and maybe playing the fringe players will be better for them, certainly a lot less pressure for them tonight.
