By "some" money do you mean "fucking loads" of money? Not as much as I thought it was, 24.6 mill euros (gross) 18 million euros (net), source: https://www.transfermarkt.com/wolverhampton-wanderers/transfers/verein/543 Our gross was a hell of a lot more, obviously we had a much healthier net, but our base of a PL squad was obviously better than their base. Really they bought one player for decent money the rest are typical bits and bob transfers for champo clubs. Neves must be one hell of a player to have transformed them so much.

Wolves are already only 2 points off our total from last year, they'll easily break 100 points, if they keep their focus. Even though they spent some money it's a hell of an effort, to come form nowhere last season.

The funny thing is that it's only hurting them, at a time when they need money most, they are making it harder for their own fans to buy tickets.

That thread's a r/thathappened gold mine. I like this to highlight their grasp on reality. "Nothing will be better than 6 in row or Rafa Beneathus, so they can throw as much as they like." Sure going down to League one is nothing compared to being able to say that. 28 years or whatever without a home derby win, absolutely nothing when you won the fixture 6 times in a row, that immediately followed a streak of 9 games without a Mackem win (including a 5 in a row ), and they only just with their last win drew level with us in the overall head to head, that's obviously the biggest thing ever.

Gooch is the better of the two, both will be mid table championship players imo. Still better than most of League one. Add Asoro, McNair, love and Watmore if he recovers from injury and they’ve a good young core to build around next year. Gooch's father did a session with my son's club here in Santa Cruz, CA. His coach was telling them how it was proof they could all aspire to play at the top level. My son said "Yeah, but Sunderland are crap." You really need to show some positive re-enforcement with your son after that, did you buy him a new Xbox one X ?

£4m squad bonus to stay up, £1m per position above 17th. Wonder how that works ? All the money goes into a pot and they divvy it up equal ways ? So someone like Gamez who played twice gets the same as Ritchie ? Or do they work it out on an appearance basis ? Really all Ashley is doing here is sending the greater prize money he gets for finishing higher to the players or at least a portion of it, how much do you get per spot ? In previous seasons it’s been a % based on minutes played. Aha, Mitro is in for a bonanza then

If you’re English, over-35 or so and don’t hate Liverpool then there’s something wrong with you. If you’re under 35, have ever been on RAWK and don’t hate Liverpool then there's something wrong with you. I'm well over 35 and lived through their dominace, again I never really got the hate for them, that I did for Manure years later. Maybe because we were never their rival, NUFC were abject in those days.

Yeah, they've not like his style of football and that's fair enough, the mackems said the same thing, but as a character for the neutral the man is class.

This. Who are the insane bastards who want Liverpool to win it FFS? Me ! If Spuds were England's last team I would be rooting for them instead but they are not !
-
He said some really nice things about us after we tonked them at home last season, he had the last laugh when they beat us comfortably in the return at the end of the season.
-
Worst possible three to go upfor me are Wolves, Fulham and Villa. All three will spend and be competitive next season, we don't want that. Fulham will buy Mitro, I would much rather he go abroad. Wolves will spend like crazy, like they did this year (for Champo standards), Villa would be back in the PL before their parachute payments ran out and ffp kicked in

It's been an amazingly bad season down there in that division. They can get a maximum of 45 points, if they got that they would have an excellent chance of staying up last year they would have been 6 points behind Blackburn who went down !

That's if they hang onto them of course, suddenly bigger clubs like Brentford and Bristol City will be hoovering up their talented youngsters

Doesn't a draw put Bolton to 40 points anyway ? so in effect the Mackems still nee 2 wins and a draw from their last four, at the very least. They really need to beat Reading now.
-
The guy is just fantastic, Ipswich aren't in bad shape at all in the league, hopefully he thinks League one is a little beneath him.
-
How good are Gooch and Honeyman, who seem to be the pick of their youngsters ? They PL capable players ? I've not seen either of them play at all.
-
I've never really shared the hate some have of Liverpool, I always want to see English teams win in Europe, it does indirectly help us by making the league more desirable for players and sponsors and a like. So naturally would like to see them win it.

Excellent jinxing, do you do requests? Exactly, works for NUFC all the time, tried it in reverse

Pages 49 and 50 in their match thread, lol: https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/sunderland-v-nowich-match-thread.1425978/page-49

Brilliant, go for the win you yellow and greens, "let's be having you", or whatever she said.
-
Love to see Roma hang on, but you know Messi will pop up with a goal a minute from the end or something.
-
They've beaten Fulham already this season and drew with Wolves, wolves will be in party mode. I Doubt they will get anything at Fulham, but surely Fulham will run out of steam at some point, it's an amazing run they are on, but I do expect them to beat Wolves, if they still have something to play for on the last day of the season.
-
Would have preferred Man City to go through because I think they have the best chance of winning it, can't see Liverpool beating Real or Barca.
-
Huge win for them tonight if this holds up, they suddenly have the momentum at the bottom, and honestly their fixture list outside the Fulham game (whom they've already beaten) looks very favourable. Wolves on the last day will have won the league by then surely.
