    Other clubs' transfers

Cissokho? Hope he comes here, but can't see it. Don't know if Wenger is okay with paying double figures for a fullback. I just hope he doesn't see our only outstanding centre back option as our fullback backup! That's nowt 40 million and counting since Jan 31st

I thought we have brought in 12 million, from Rout (2) , Nolan (4) and Jose (6) and bought for about 7million, Cab (4), Obertan (3) everyone else free. Not sure about this Rob Elliot deal, can't have paid more than 1million, which may be offsetslightly by the loan fee and expected transfer fee for Forster. Andd that to the 35million from Carroll and what we looking at 40 million, that's a lot of money for agent fees

We're not going down this season. And I'm not dismissing the August games. I think we can get a win at Sunderland with or without a left-back. I'm p*ssed off it's taking us so long to sign a left-back but some of the reactions are bordering ridiculous. Some people may say this policy of acceptance of the situataion, that you seem to have adopted is bordering on ridiculous. It's hardly an acceptance of the situation by simply saying we can win on Saturday and won't go down. Of course we can win, we can in theory, win any game, bloody hell if we played Barca in the Nou camp next we could win that game too. The question really is, are we putting ourselves in the best place to win the game. The answer is no, we've shot ourselves in the foot, we've lost our two top scorers from last year (one of who scored 4 goals against them last year). We've let the best left back, I've personally ever seen in a toon shirt go, without having a replacement in place and are likely to play a player in his role that barely fits the discription of a professional footballer whose played one game at LB in his entire unillustrious career. But we have Shola, he always plays well against the Mackems, he'll destroy them, we'll be fine Sunderland are no Barca of course but they have improved this close season, don't think for a minute they haven't, they'll be hugely motivated to beat us and beat us good on Saturday, they got a great point at Liverpool and go into this home game as favourites, no doubt about that. Not sure where your optimism is coming from tbh, after the pre-season we had the result against a disjointed looking Arsenal team was amazing. Oh and I'm sorry but I've heard we won't go down too many times to take anyone's word for it.
  4. Well Alan, you know, have you considered that it may have been more sensible to, you know, make sure you have a replacement in place for the left back position before, you know, releasing the only recognised player in that position at the club. No? You're just a poor little sex pest bullied by your employers you say? I feel, Alan, I feel. You would think it was rocket science wouldn't you, just tell Liverpool to piss off and wait until we get our replacement through the door. Still this was obvuiously a totally unexpected situation for the club to be in, no way they could have forseen Enrique wanting to leave, so you have to cut them a bit of slack

One of those 2-3 games is the joint most important game of the season. Defeat doesn't mean we'll automatically have a bad season if we sign a left-back a few days later will it? End of the day it'd be an away defeat to a mid-table Premier League side, not relegation. Same way a win isn't going to have us finishing top 4 if we sign a left-back afterwards either. No but defeat means we'll have those odious little c***s gloating in our faces all the way until the next derby game. Pretending it's just like any other game is bollocks. Totally agree, not sure some people on here get the significance of the derby, perhaps they think we just have to turn up to pick up the points, lulled into a false sense of security from last year, trust me it's going to be a toally different kettle of fish to last year. The thought of Ryan Bloody Taylor at LB and no striker of any quality or in any sort of form is bloody frightening.

Not going to leanr a lot about a centre half against Gateshead's reserve team, but I'm sure the two goals will have helped his chances of winning a permenant move.

    Fraser Forster

Pointless move IMO, unless we've given up on Forster which is probably true, although I think that's a little too hasty on our part.
  10. It's our only hope tbh, don't think we'll get away with playing Raylor at LB two weeks in a row, no way we'll have our new LB through the door by Sat.
  11. In Canada, game is on Setanta, think they have a free preview thing going on now if you don't have the channel.
  12. Wonder if Joey pissed off a little that he left ManShitty just before the new owners came in and transformed it, he could have been part of that, but he would probably have been sold anyway, since he's not even good enough to make the bench there.
  13. Think you might be right, after all
  14. Eh? Too complicated for you ? In conversation? Too complicated for you too ? Only because it doesnt make sense, unless they were actually discussing ti Makes perfect sense, unless you are a little retarded and can work out what I was saying.

  16. Vorn, in conversation with Toure and Silva for MoM tbh.
  17. Have you seen their defence? Hey they have Colo
  18. Johnson's played well today, if he is available, which I doubt we should burst the bank for him.
  19. How aren't Argentina the best international side in the world with this lad, Tevez and Messi, criminal how bad they are really, didn't even make semis in their continental competition.
  20. This could be any scoreline Man Shitty want tbh
  21. Dunno why I don't have the level of hate for Man Shitty, than I do for Manure or Chelsea or the Arse ?
  22. Wayne playing centre mid by the looks of it, strange
