Couldn't find anything, one coming in from Paris later, but I most likely f***ed it up, can't read anything you Brits/Irish f***ing type. More likely a private jet? I would think so. I remember flying into Marsielles (I can never spell that damn frenchie place) on business once, and we flew there through LHR, Paris and that place that begins with an M, are a long ways apart, no direct flight from NCL, are at least there wasn't when I lived there.

Could it be photoshoped ? Reading the original thread on that other forum, it was posted by a "first time poster" classic wind up signs.

Yep, definately a British Airport, every other English no where else would you see the word toilet used. But are we sure it's him ?
  4. It's a huge risk. Coaching the USA national team and Managing a premiership team are two completely different things. But there's not much out there, perhaps they think he's got the most potential, they might be right but it's a gamble, since he's got zero experience in a high profile league.
  5. I think that's a good signing for Blackpool, tbh.

That's not good news for us.
  7. It seems like it's OK for him to jack up the prices for his players, how much did he want for Parker and Cole again ? But when other clubs do it, he calls foul. Everton are mad also like to value Yak at 8 million, perhaps it was just a starting point to talk but Sullivan was too thick to negoiate, no way in hell will he get a Prem striker for 1 - 2million, idiot.

Now, now. Just because you're losing the argument. As usual. That was the only part of his post that made sense

    Sunderland...

He's gone, 8million to stoke, Mensa and Onahue (sp), confirmed. If he's allowed to spend that 8 million they'll start to look like comfortable mid tablers, I doubt he will get that money to spend though, so still seeing them as a lower mid table side outside bets to go down, but will more than likely be safe.

Couldn't agree with you more, and this is something I've been harping on about on here for years. Top post.

    Sunderland...

Jones is cack, has been for a long time, had a great start then faded badly away. That's a great deal for the Mackems tbh, Stoke are stupid, but I guess Pulis thinks he can mould him into his squad of limited but committed players. I don't know what everyone is talking about, that squad they have is average at best, they are still no more than lower mid table, relegation flirters IMO.

If we are finding Marsielle (sp?) difficult to work with, then I hope we move on to other targets, surely they have other irons in the fire, times ticking away, 20 days till the close of the window, and we are constantly told that these deals don't happen fast. We desperately need someone with quality to play just behind or off Carroll (assuming Carrol himself is up to the job, which I've got to admit I'm starting to doubt). I've got to say my arse is starting to twitch, lets hope those that really matter are keeping their cool and have a plan that they can execute.
  13. I'm of the opinion liek a few others on here, that professional footballers should be able to cope with a cup run of about 4 or 5 matches in addition to a 38 game season. Yes there's a risk of injury, but there's just as much of a risk in training exercises. I would venture to say that we probably lose more players with injury away from the matches, than we do in the games themselves. We should give this cup and the FA cup a go this yes, we'll be unlikely to win either, but if a team like portsmouth can reach the final then there's hope for everyone. We played 46 games in the league plus about 5 or 6 cup games last season, didn't see too many players coplaining about being tired.
  14. Arsenal too for me, though of the realistic clubs they are the most unlikely, them and Liverpool are pretty close to being unrealistic now. I think only Manure, ManShitty and Chelsea are really realistic, Arsenal and Liverpool are kind of like we were under Robson, will be there or there abouts maybe even challenge for a while but won't be able to sustain it.
  15. I'm kinda still where I was. Really looking forward to the season, I love the rumours and IDK crap that pops up in the summer, but after a while of inaction it becomes tiresome, miss the actual football, and it'll be great to be able to see every game again on TV over here, unlike 5 or 6 last season in the championship. More apprehensive though than I was at the end of last season about or chances, thought we would have at the very least address the striker situation. Couple the lack of movement with Carroll awful pre season and that's the biggestr concern for me. Difficult to get too excited about the signings when 2 won't start and 1 will probably struggle to make the team. It's going to be a good weekend though for me, the Dolphins open up their pre-season with a game against the Bucs on Saturday and of course we have the Manure game on the Monday. I might actually stop playing FM2010 for a bit.
  16. There's a lot of truth in that. Would he be better off leaving and grabbing the next available job at a biggish club in the Championship ?
  17. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/a/aston_villa/8899765.stm Oh bugger, looks like we may need to put up with "New Manager" boost thing that always happens.
  18. He would chose Spuds over us for sure, but if we were prepared to pay the asking price in terms of wages and transfer fee (which I highly doubt) there's no reason to think he would automatically go to Fulham ahead of us.
  19. We couldn't afford the wages or the tranfer fee, Ashley wouldn't sanction a move for him at his age. Man Shitty may also need him for their Home Grown quota. They are going to have to move some players out there, I would venture to say they are well past the 25 over 21's that they can register.
  20. He was asked to do something about the wages bill, and refused to. That's what has happened. If he is going to refuse to do that, then he needs to be on solid ground in saying that it doesn't need to be tackled. Beye 40k Shorey 35k Sidwell 40k NRC 50k Davies 35k L. Young 40k That's 240k *a week* sat doing absolutely nothing. That's shocking, but it's the Owner/CEO or whoever that negoiated those salaries in the first place surely, balming everything on the manager is just not right IYAM. Oh and however bad that looks, it's chicken feed compared to where we were two years ago.
  21. Good, I'm glad you approve, but tbh I wasn't being a t*** to him this time, in fact he was being a t*** to me, I didn't even respond too harshly, but whatever. Which is pretty much where Brummie's dislike for me all started, I crticised his club on a NUFC forum, he attacked me, I responded. To be perfectly honest, I don't really dislike the guy much, he's OK, conducts himself very well for a guest from another club but he's very jumpity with me, there's a lot worse written in this thread about his club and fans, but he ignored all that and attacked me because of our history, it's ok though, water of a ducks back. I don't have a problem with you personally at all. I don't dislike you at all. I'm here discussing MON as a sensible rational human being, and engaging in conversation with a lot of people I've talked with about football for, what, four years now, and who almost to a man have proven to be amongst the most sensible, head-screwed-on people I've encountered on the internet. In fact, in all that time, I can only think of one other poster who has gone off on the same slant you do with me. That's the thing, see, I see other people on here making the same points, yes, but I see you doing it continually, and seemingly more so while I'm around. It'd be dead easy for me to go and take a stereotype about Newcastle supporters from one of the many places on the internet they're pedalled and start believing it, but I don't, because I know - partly but not entirely from my experience here - that they're not all like that. I remember going to SJP to watch us play you in 1986, and one the way out, a Newcastle fan put a brick in my mate's sister's face from about two paces. I remember going to places like West Ham and getting treated abysmally. I remember getting a severe kicking at White Hart Lane in the 1980s, too. It would be dead easy for me to judge all the fans of those clubs by the actions of a few, but I can clearly see that's really a bit daft. I suspect that's not the approach you would take over, for example, the banners, deciding that, actually I'm a t*** as well. I've been here for yonks and don't think I've acted that way, but that's the way I get tarred by your logic. I just think it's a bit sad when people from different loyalties can't discuss football sensibly like grown up human beings without regurgitating tired old cliches or petty minded bigotries. That's exactly the sort of approach that made it so easy for football supporters to get treated like s*** for decades. If that's the way you want to be, then I don't have a problem with it, which is why, bar saying I think you're daft and maybe making the odd comment along the lines of it being water off a duck's back, I don't really want to go into it. So why attack me, when there were plenty of other candidates in this very thread for that ? Trust me, I know there's a fair few arses that follow the Toon, after witnessed them for myself many times at matches, just like there are for every club in the country Villa included. I've never hidden my dislike for your club, I dislike many other clubs too, ManUre and the Mackems being top of that list. I'll not stop that dislike, but I don't personally attack you unless you attack me first. Like a lot of people I appreciate, 1878, Neil, KingDawson, Fabergash and yourself's input to the forum, you all conduct yourselves appropriately and give value insight into what's going on at other team. But remember you are on another club's forum, so you will likely read some things about your club that you dislike. Edit: Oh and if I were you I wouldn't worry about it, I've pissed off plenty of NUFC fans too with the crap I spout, not on Ronaldo's level but not insignificant
  22. Did Davies play much under O'Neill ? I don't know never really followed the PL last year ? If not I would imagine he was pleased, but it doesn't seem like O'Neill was universally popular amongst the players, perhaps that the route of the issue.

Can't believe I wasted 10 seconds of my life there, I knew it was BS, but it was a shiney button and I had to clck
