  1. They didn't look inferior to me. OH tron FFs, they were inferior in quality, they put in a lot of effort in the first half and played really well, they ran out of steam in the second. But our problem is we justseem to feel as if all we need to do is turn up to beat the crap in this league, although I agree it is crap, that atitude will get us nowhere fast.
  2. Did you watch the last 3 games through Rose tinted glasses? Actually nay, if you look at the bigger picture however...we are still joint top of the league and the last 3 games have been against top half teams. This league was always going to be tight and it seems some people on here expect us to walk every game. If we struggle in the next 4 games with us playing Donny. Scunny and Peterboro i will perhaps start to worry slightly, however i don't think we will. So you didn't see the games, yet you are ready to slander people for being disappointed with recent performances ? How's that sand like, where your head's firmly planted ?

Absolutely, a blind man could see this coming crashing down soon. But once again people were all lulled in, sometimes I dispair at the lack of foresight from people on this board. The need for a manager is paramount, the players are still way superior than most of what this league has to offer, a little guidance is all it will take to get our season back on track, you take the big win against a poor Ipswich side out of the picture and we've been downright awful for a long while now.
  4. This is why we need a bloody manager, abject performance, although in the 2nd half we had more possession, no cutting edge there.
  5. There's not been one player on our team that's put in half the effort that the whole of the forest team have in that first half. They may run out of steam, that's our main hope here.
  6. Total deserved that goal, they've ben tremendous, we have been downright woeful.

    RIP sale thread.

Another week goes by with no resolution, seriously how long is this going to go on for ?

    RIP sale thread.

actually if we did get promoted as we are i think we'd be in a financially healthy position as the wage bill is way down on what it was last season It'll be reduced further by Geremi's departure and possibly Butt's too. I do think though he's right in a sense that we need to start planning for that first season back in January's window. How strong or not our position is by the start of the window, should shape what we do. Unfortunately, the bloke hasn't got a clue and we won't be sold, so who knows.

Lol Since when has Andy O fucking Brien been a cult hero ?? He was a donkey, with a big nose, hope we never see him sully the black and white shirt again, despite our relegation.

So no further forward then today, what a surprise, why do we keep hoping this time it'll be different ?

Oh FFS hope this is not true, but more than likely. When are people going to realise that he's doing no more than a solid job, with the squad we have, we should be top of this league. He's not the future for this football club and appointing him on a permenant basis also means his future on the coaching staff is in jeapordy, because when he fails and he will if and when we come up against more than mediocre opposition, he'll be sacked. Like Roeder before him, we'll miss him as coach more than we'll benefit from him as another short term manager. I argued vehemently against Roeders appointment, but I think I would be fairly open to Hughton getting a pop at it; for a start the man talks a damn sight more sense, has pulled the squad together, and seems to pick the right team/subs more often than not which is half the battle. Put it this way, in the absence of any alternatives (you won't see Shearer again until the club's sold and there is sod all out there that jumps out at me or would find us a draw at this point), it's pretty disrespectful to the guy to keep him as a caretaker on presumably caretakers wages for very much longer. He is doing a managers job so unless regime change is really 'just around the corner', change his title accordingly. I'm against him being made the manager full time in any regard. But the point I'm making here is that we'll lose him as a coach if he's made permenant. He will be sacked pretty quickly if not this season (for not getting us promoted) then next in the premiership. I'd rather hang on to him in that capacity, as Roeder was excellent with the youngsters and we've missed that, Hughton's proved to be a pretty adept coach.

  14. Bottom line is will be in the Prem next year if KK were appointed tomorrow. So yes absolutely, no doubts for me. KK > Hughton by a long way.

    RIP sale thread.

Well at least we've got my ITK stuff comming through. Better than the depths the thread fell too recently. Of course we'll all get our hopes up again, only to be let down, I predict we'll hear nothing and the story will be forgoten about by the end of the week. One thing is sure though we need a manager soon, already lost 4 points in two winnable home games because we've not had one.
  16. Bobyule promoting his anti KK agenda as usual, what's new ?
  17. if only they had gone into administration earlier, we would still be in the PL.
  18. He definitely went to uni at Newcastle. He was born in Hexham I believe. so was Pete Doherty, but he supports QPR. Guess I was wrong, he's from Consett, which if you are not from the region is probably more Newcastle Territory than Sunderland, at worse it's 50/50. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rowan_Atkinson Since I've never heard his name mentioned when it comes to the toon, I think it safe to assume he's one of those arty farty types that have no interest in "soccer".
  19. He went to the same school as me, was in my brother's year, my brother said he was a right fruit, probably one of those not interested in sport and stuff.
  20. He definitely went to uni at Newcastle. He was born in Hexham I believe.
  21. Obviously there's been some concern over whether Harewood's match fitness will allow him to start games right now, coupled with the fact that Ranger did very well in the last game which we won 4-0, meant it was a pretty simple choice to go with Ranger ahead of Harewood. I would be staggered if Harewood did not start ahead of Ranger in the next game however. Of course Ranger's got a lot of learning to do, and he's nowhere near the finished product, but trust me he's learned a million more things in his outings for the first team this season, than he will ever do playing in the stiffs league with the reserves.
