    RIP sale thread.

When has that been mentioned in the last couple of pages ? The answer is nowhere. It's just turned into another pro KK anti KK debate. Just because he is in some sort of legal wrangle that has a vague baring on the sale of the club, is a convient excuse for people to start off on their old agenda. I'm sorry, but I'm just sick of people pushing the same message down people's throat, debate about the hear and now, not stuff that's been done to death, over and over again. Of courseits related, people or debating the causes of the sale, sorry if people are sick of this but its one of the most crucial times in the clubs history. You'll know when summik has kicked in when this thread has everyobne posting in it. I give up, you're just not listening. I could easily say the same to you In what way exactly ? You've said it's related and I've countered it's not, and why it's not therefore I clearly listened to your point. However you just repeated what you said and didn't counter my counter, saying this is the most important time for the club. But I'm sorry I don't see a pointless pro KK, anti KK debate being the most important time for the club. Yup, irony indeed. You obviously have no idea about the meaing of the word. Anyway I've allowed this thread to degenerate to even lower levels, so to everyone else having the misfortune of reading this thread, I'm very sorry. So I'm stepping away from it until you children (and I mean that in a mental state, it's not an oppourtunity for you to tell us how old you are and how many games you've seen) are finished with your little debate. Go ahead fill your boots, just let us know when it's safe to return.

Not whaen they are calling each other f***ing loons and bringing up tired old debates. I come on here expecting to hear the latest on the club sale, not this crap, if you want to talk about this nonsense over and over again, start a new bloody thread or take it to PMs. There is no take over talk so people are discussing the causes of the eventual sale. All related. No it's not related in the slightest. It's just people using it as a veil to cover their own petty little agendas, you've got Bobyule with his "I f***ing hate Keegan" stance he's always on, you've got HTL, with his same old "I Love Fat Fred stance and anyone who doesn't is a moron" stance, and then everyone else who gets pissed off with one or both of them chiming in. It's not related to the club sale at all. I actually dislike Fat Fred and think he made numerous mistakes. I've said this lots of times before so I'm probably pissing into another empty head by posting it to you. Sorry, looking back at some of your posts, you are right I don't see any pro Fred messages. I had you pegged down as just another NE5 clone when in actual fact your just another, soopafan my opinion is always right and yours is wrong, one issue, poster.

Other than that it's been good debate. Threads evolve you know, although your post isn't on topic either so why didn't you just PM everyone? I agree it's not on topic either, but FFS this thread is long enough as it is, stop fucking talking about stuff that's unrelated in it. Take it to another thread, whether it's a good debate, which is highly questionable btw, or not.

    The end of diving? No.

OH FFS, UEFA show some fucking balls. The player dived clear as day anyone suggesting otherwise is simply talking out of their arse. I didn't see any contact between the GK and the croation/brazilian but even if there was a small brush, that wasn't enough to knock a grown adult down to the ground. I understand the point about singling Eduardo out, but they've got to set an example somewhere, if they don't it'll just coninue they way it has been with a bunch of dishonest people trying to con the officials. This decision basically says that if you get caught diving by video evidence, the likliehood is that we'll do nothing about it.
  11. I felt he and the rest of the defence were extremely steady, only that one moment of madness close to the end of the game by Enrique, outside of that they showed they were a class ahead of their opponents.
  12. No we won't, if the game had gone on another hour we still wouldn't have conceeded, Cardiff were that poor.

Sounds like some ITK stuff to get the people all excited, come on, I'm game, what's the scoop ?

    RIP sale thread.

So we're not really talking about takeovers anymore ?
  15. I think we should stick to the default pessimism mode for a few more weeks. I honestly do think this will be a tough one. Blackpool have a good record at home and unlike the previous opponents these are a different sort of opponent. All the teams we've played so far have been past PL clubs, with the exception of Cardiff (but they have only very recently been to a Cup final). So they probably didn't get the sense of this is there seasons cup final when they played us. Blackpool will, they'll be well up for this one. It's also a much smaller ground than we've played on so far. It's another test for the lads and a different one, if we can come away from it with another win then we'll be well set for the season.
  16. Which was live on Tyne Tees. can anyone remeber the surreal atmosphere against oxford on the thursday night after Grimsby, the tannoy announced the name of a Bloke who had locked his wife out the house, the crowd fell silent, everyone looking around... ... and this bloke ran down the steps of the east stand, raised his hand, to jeering from most of the crowd. I vaguely remeber the Oxford game, I think I was in the centre paddock for that one, didn't they give us a guard of honour. First and last time I'd seen us receive that. On the subject of this thread. I'm still pissed off we didn't beat Brom tbh. Although they created a few chances we were the better team that day and could easily have won it.
  17. Comfortable, TBH, thought that was going to be a stiff challenge but Cardiff were shite. Easy win, even though we played average at best, didn't even need to break sweat.
  18. FFS enrique absolutely cruising until that stupid mistake now it's panic stations

    Chris Hughton

Disagree. Again it's a short term high thing we see from promoted coaches. In the first season he did very well, but that may have had a lot to do with a certain Mr Gazza. We finished 8th. Then sold Gazza and brought in four players, who all on paper looked good buys, but it went wrong, and we ended up going down that year and even Jim Smith couldn't save us when he replaced McFaul late in the season. A good manager is able to sustain a level of performance out of his players, more often than not a coach stepping up that does well initially sees his side fall away when the players stop "Playing for the guy", this happens because their mate got the job, so they are excited about that for a while. However over time he becomes just "the boss" and mentality changes. It's hard to step up and it's probably not the "player's choice" that makes the best manager.
  20. I remember only too well the feeling I had the last time we went down. It was was dissapointment at first of course, but then it struck me how we would be a big fish again in a little pond and we would win much more often. Saturday's were fuun again. And lets face it, it's not the taking part that counts, it's the bloody winning The same feelings are coming back again now. It is way too early to get complacent, but I never bought into to the crap spouted about the CCC being a tough league. It's clearly not. But we do have a really tough game coming up on Sunday if we get through that unscathed then we'll be well on our way. The good thing for us is that really we haven't got significantly weaker since the start of the season, only Duff has left from that team that started against WBA, while our rivals haven't improved and in Boro's case have significantly weakened. I still maintain that the only thing that will stop us winning promotion at the first attempt is ourselves, or namely Mike Ashley.

    Chris Hughton

Because this is exactly the thought process that landed us with Roeder as manager. We are comfortably stronger than most of the teams in this league and Hughton is doing a competent job at getting us the results we should expect tbh. Things would change quickly if he had some difficult personnel issues to sought out. He's not a manager but is proving to be an excellent coach who's done a great job in the short term, as Roeder did in the past. But don't be fooled, he hasn't got the backbone to do this gig for a sustained period of time.

    RIP sale thread.

Or when the kids go back to school.. I know people are only half serious with these lock it requests, but really do you want to lock a thread about the most important issue currently effecting the club ? Instead lets all talk about shirt designs and inter bloody milan. If you don't like the thread don't click on it and don't bother contributing to it by commenting that the thread sucks.
  23. Pure speculation and no substance. Am I supposed to not comment on stuff unless I can back it up ? Is this a court of Law like ? What are you on ?? I already said I know nothing about this case, the only point I'm making is that FIFA and UEFA are two corrupt bodies who I trust to have the best interest of the game in mind as much as I trust a word that comes out of lamearse's mouth. As much as it's funny that Chelsea are getting screwed here, there is a bigger issue with this agenda against English clubs. FIFA may regret this because if Chelsea play it smart they could open up the whole transfer system, which legally is not a watertight system at all.
