  1. I hope Chelsea take FIFA on here, they will have a good case as EU law should back them up. Surely it's against the basic premise of free movement of people and trade. No idea the ins and outs of this ruling but all I know is that both FIFA and UEFA are only too quick to penalise English clubs as they seem to see them as the devil. Those two institutions are far more damaging to the game than the EPL. You just know that had this situation happend with a big Spanish or Italian club, they would not have received the same sanctions. Although it's amusing that it's happening to Chelsea, at the end of the day, it's just showing how the governing bodies, like to abuse their postion to promote their agendas.
  2. Another area of concern is how long we have simpson for. It's not the full season, I know that for sure, but is it 6 months or less, when he goes back to Manure we are weaken further. The thought being perhaps that the window will be open again, but since there's little chance of Ashley not being in control then and we've seen how tight the bastard is, there's more chance of players going than coming in Jan.
  3. How ? Hasn't two years of Ashley taught you nothing ?
  4. When did Xisco and Nacho get annouced last year ? Wasn't it pretty long after that window closed. Clutching at straws here but you never know I guess.
  5. GG doesn't follow Spurs, he follows Watford, whom Rose was on loan to last season in the Championship, so I still guessing what is it Read my earlier post, shitferbrains. You're calling me shitferbrains when you made yourself look like a complete retard, that's class !!

  7. Surely you can be more specific then that.. No positional sense, headless chicken, scored more own goals than goals for us last season. A glowing reference, good job hughton, really knows how to spot a talent. So, it's not even been confirmed that we're even interested in the lad, but you're writing him off. I'm just going to get a hand tattooed on my face, to save myself the constant hassle. I'm not writing him off at all. I know fuck all about the lad. But GG's reference is not exactly a good one. What's your point here exactly ?

A glowing reference, good job hughton, really knows how to spot a talent. Despite what anyone thinks of Hughton, I'd trust him over some nobody on a forum. That nobody, watched him all year playing for his club. Fans can been pretty good judges of players, sometimes better than manay managers. Case in piont, Nicky Butt.

  10. You think so ? I've never been too impressed by Collins, think he's average at best.
  11. I never heard the Sky interview but the quotes on the beeb from Pearson are strange and extremely arrogant, he said this was a place that he expected a result from. Then if he did, he's a fucking knob.
  12. I think this latest update from the beeb just about sums up this tragic deadline day, one of the most exciting off the field days of the year is a total washout this year from some reason: "1535: Bristol Rovers forward Lewis Haldane has joined Port Vale on loan, while Wrexham striker Obi Anoruo has joined Welsh Premier League side Newtown on loan. I know. It's killing me too. "
  13. Sky "Magpies swoop for Ritchie" stupid Notts County, fuckers at sky know so they get us to click on the link, thinking it's us.
  14. Wow what a crappy deadline day, not just for us, but everyone, seems awfully quiet.
  15. A year ago, I would have been physically sick at the thought of Harewood joining us, now I guess, it's slight less repugnant but still don't think a loan move for him is a way we should be going.
  16. Damn glad I'm recording this to watch when I get home from work, reading your comments make this sound like the game of the season thus far. But with the squad available to us, I guess this is as good as it will get for us. There is nowt in this division, winning it should be a piece of piss, Ashley is so fucking blind that he can't see that buying a few players short term, bringing in a competent manager and not letting people go will virtually gaurentee a return to the top flight and therefore increase the value of his asset. Instead, he appears to be doing all he can to reduce it's value by reducing the squad to comical levels of depth.

    Xisco

Nice theory, one small problem, according to NUFC.COM, Loven could be off to Brum, would make sense with Mcleish being there.

    Xisco

This is stupid. Although the lad has far from shown (or been allowed to show, maybe) any signs of quality, we have so few options up front that we needed another body in there to fill out the squad. I bet we are still paying a portion of his wages too and there's no chance of a replacement, from this short armed long pocketed chairman.

    RIP sale thread.

So... Nothing's happened then overnight ? Just got into work this morning, and it seems like the same old shit here.

    RIP sale thread.

Absolutely. No chance in hell, even if this is true, that anything will be done in time for us to save this transfer window. It was over when we got Simpson in on loan, fantastic stuff eh ?
  21. He's not very good. couldn't disagree more How about if I said Mike Ashley has been a fantastic owner of Newcastle United ?

    RIP sale thread.

I think I'm beyond caring right now TBH. A takeover, any additional recruits and a proper manager would be a bonus, but I'm not expecting anything positive to happen. Job done I guess for Ashley, he's almost got us to a stage where we appreciate what we have and not expect any more from him.
  23. hows that ? we didn't have the money to provide what he wanted,he walked. why couldn't he cut his cloth like the every other manager has to ? how,-- gratuitous indulging in Keegan bashing, then he returns , we are good,= they are twats. come on you understand this. it doesn't matter who the person is i'll slag them off when they do something to be slagged off for and applaud accordingly when they deserve it. i'll not defend someone to the hilt without evidence especially if i know they have previous. Praise the lord, sense at last. What's Keegan done he should be slagged off for though? Yeah, yeah he should've stayed with a lopsided squad when his pleas were going unheard. - Walked out on Newcastle, had to be persuaded to return - Walked out on Newcastle again - Walked out on Fulham - Walked out on England - Walked out on Manchester City - Walked out on Newcastle again. Regardless of what he has achieved, we can't just ignore the above. I'm sorry but what a f***ing numpty. I couldn't give a s*** personally what he did at Man Shitty, Fulham or Engalnd. The first time he walked out, he was making a stand against false promises and showing he wouldn't be walked all over, and it bloody worked too because he got the backing he was promised and we went on to great things. The second time he left on the principle of the change to a PLC, again over time this was proved to be the right move, because I honestly don't think anyone could say the club was ever the same again, all that change did was allow the Halls and Shepherd to milk the club for a lot of money. If you still think the 3rd time he left was a in some way or form wrong, then where the hell have you been in the last 12 months or so ?? KK has made his mistakes, no doubt, but he's far from deserving the level of abuse he gets from some ileducated children on here, I'm glad they are just a very vocal minority of Newcastle fans.
