Plan ? Plan ? What is this strange thing that you talk of
-
Neither he or Duff will be here. It's alright though, you only need one winger in this league - so long as the wage bill's nice and toight. If losing Duff and gaining 8 million help keeps the club running, i am all for it. We needed to trim the wage bill and adapt to the Championship surroundings. And keep the club running? Please, will someone summarise for me... say we head into the season with this exact wage budget. What exactly happens? Genuine question. Do we go out of business or something? I've been saying the exact same thing for a while now Yorkie. People seem to be detached from the fact that we are sole owned by a multi millionaire and that it's entirely in his hands if or when he puts us into administration and the likelihood is he won't do that until there is not a hope of regaining any of his money that he put into to buying the club, so while there are assets like the players, he'll not wind us down.
-
I'm late joining the party, since I been busy at work and pimping out my gaming set up at home, anyway probably been said before me but it's a fantastic offer for Duff and we would be mad not to take it however we need someone in to replace him and there's little to no sign of movement on the inbound front.
-
We used too, it's slowly but surely being dismanteled, we've lost 9 players since the end of last season and replaced them with no one.
-
FFS people. Again I couldn't give a shit, surely you should be worrying about us right now, not some pointless vendetta against an mackem arsehole.
-
This. Sad he's gone, but I wish him well at Villa. A lot of weird folk on here. I personally couldn't give a shit about Beye or where he's gone, I'm more interested in us and at this moment we are royally screwed.

Do you think that we will have financial stability when we have a team of basically untried kids struggling at the bottom of the league because I dont. I think in the long term we'd be better off than we would with a huge wage bill in midtable. Wally is spot on. Mid table could well be a reach for this squad now. There is way more chance of us going bust if we slip down another league rather than maintaining a high wage for one season in the championship. I don't understand, if we have a high wage bill for one season in the championship then we ARE bust, surely. In our current state how can we survive with a wage bill that is around the same level as our turnover? How do you know that ? Do you have an iside track to Mike Ashley or something. We will only go "bust" if he decides he wants us too. He's bank rolling the club at the moment, Administration right now makes no sense for him financially, however should we drop to league 1 then it becomes way more attractive to him. If we had hung on to all our players, I could pretty confidently say we had the best squad in the Championship and under even a half decent manager we would be favourites to go up. But as the squad gets thinner and thinner we are becoming more likely to struggle than we are to rise again. Financially a drop to League 1 will cripple us completely.
-
They had better be shit hot, because we are going to have to rely on them a hell of a lot at this rate.

We can't afford to keep them, i'd probably be more worried if everyone stayed. That's an understandable comment but the one flaw is that we also can't afford not to replace them, and there is zero sign of us looking to do that. From a fans perspective I'd much rather we hung on to the players we can't afford than not have any players left at all, which at the current rate is looking increasingly likely. Lost: Owen Viduka Cacapa Loven Martins Bassong Beye Brought in: No fucker

I doubt it. We won't get this money up front you know. It'll be paid in installments and part of it will be performance related.
-
You're not exactly telling us anything earth shattering though, so I doubt anyone will start calling you names. If you want to come on here with ITK bollocks, at least have the decency to make it bloody interesting
-
Who the fuck is this Clem bloke people keep talking about ? And for thos of us in foreign lands at work and unable to tune in can someone tell us if anything new has been said tonight ?
-
I used to work with Colin Whittle, really good bloke and no dunce at all.

Venables won't come, but he's a far more qualified coach than the likes of O'Leary, Strachan, Coppell and other such losers mentioned so far. What did Venabls won? Nothing Starchen achivement at Celtic is better than Martin O'Neil and same moron people here were saying the same about MON few years back when I scream his appointment instead of Roeder. Learn about football ppls. venables won la liga with barca, and an fa cup with spurs, albeit a while ago. Which century and I just want to know which manager fail to win at Baraca plus thats two decade ego. Strachen won lots of titiles in the past 4 years and if any of you guys care to watch his sides play with commitment and passion all the times. Venables actually moulded clubs like QPR and was a relatively successful England coach, he's well respected by people in the game. Strachan is a little s*** who can win a two horse race in Scotland like Graeme Souness other than that I'm not sure he's done much. Strachan has actually done nowt of any note when managing an English club in an obviously far more competitive league than the scotch one. Thought as much. A disaster waiting to happen to a club like ours I reckon, much like O'Bleary who built his reputation a Leeds side he inherited. The one thing people keep forgetting is what we actually need. We don't need a top of the line, lets go out and win something manager right now, we need someone to get us out of this division. Personally I think O'Leary and Strachan as well as Curbs are more than capable of doing that, so I would be happy to settle for them right now.

I'd like to see Nile Ranger get a run out for the 1st team. With both Shola and Carroll's injury records, he'll get more than one run out, if we presume he's next in line but I can see us going with one up front or play duff as a striker or something equally retarded to ensure that all our "big names" play rather than give a youngster a chance. This has been a common trait for us in recent years.
-
I'm going to go for a 6-1 loss, we may be lucky to get away with that scoreline. If Leyton Orient can do that to us, no reason why WBA can't.
-
I can't believe even someone as clearly mad of JFK, would totally make something like this up. Got to think there is some truth in it.
-
I would honestly be happy with any of Curbs, Strachan, O'leary or if the chouice was between him and keep Hughton then Vegatables. I would not be happy with JFK or making Hughton boss.
-
One statement that really worries me from Harris was the "expect a lot more sales this month, with possibly one or two coming in". Clearly an attempt from Ashley to reduce that wage bill sell and therefore make the club more appealling, however this severly impacts an already thin squad. Just looking at our strikeforce right now is cause for concern. Carroll and Shola had better step up the plate this year because we've vey much got all our eggs in one basket.
-
I sincerely hope Thomo is right here, we've been told stuff one too many times to not be a little sceptical but lets hope this time we get some positive news very soon.
-
Sad news, thank you so much Sir Bobby for everything you did for our football club. I guess this day was coming but still a shock and very sad when it finally arrived.
-
I have to say it sounds awfully like a wind up. Could be true but the likelihood is, it's just someone causing mischief.
-
The story comes from The Sun. I'm sceptical to say the least. I just don't see good things happing to our club. Certianly not worth building our hopes up yet again, that's for sure.
-
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I know, I'm sick of hearing negative crap all the time too, but if there's one thing we can learn this close season is never expect Ashley to do anything that makes sense and he really does not give a shit about the club at all.
