Or perhaps the money from the failed bid for Schweinsteiger was put back into the bank along with the money for Skjelbred and Atouba who Keegan turned down so it could be spent in January, the fans kick off because Keegan has walked without even knowing whats happened (as witnessed by the mongs with their boycoutt banner at SJP on the Tuesday before he'd even resigned) Ashley then thinks "f*** this, no way am I putting £20 million of my own money into subsidising this club when the ungrateful bastards are abandoning the club shop and Shearer's bar" so decides to walk. Easy this like. does the 'f*** this etc" sound like Ashley to you? Does putting money not spent into the bank for the next window sound like us either, considering we spent nothing last summer or in Jan? Also, we were supposed to be expecting Atouba for a medical but the player himself decided not to go. Aslo, no one has told us why Skejlberd didnt arrive, and Schweinsteiger bid hasnt even been confirmed other than by one or two ITKs. What I find a little ironic is that all these idiots telling us how KK bottled it and should have stayed on to fight completely turn a blind eye to Ashley's hissyfit and not willing to fight for what he thinks is right.

You do seem to have a problem with HTT. Is this a new Mick/NE5 relationship building up ? Personally i find HTT's contribution very good, I'm glad he's back posting, he writes extremely well tbh, don't always agree with what he says like for example he kept bleeting on about how the squad didn't need any further strengthening before the window close (even before Xisco and Nacho were signed), that was obviously horseshit and I called him out on it but he does often string a good argument together. Actually think working with an editor who could keep a handle on the length of his articles, he could do a lot better than a lot of hacks out there, he certainly could give them a run for their money for impassioned writings to stir up the fans. Your post and sig tbh look rather childish, the fact that you still seem obessed with a player who left at the end of the season, play 1 game for us that season just makes you look more petty. I'm actually quite mature and not a big gay like u Yeah you really proved that, with that post. you don't do sarcasm do you? Yes when it makes any freakin sense.

Well they do say love is blind.

You gave him no support the last time, you've had an agenda about the guy forever. Why should this time be any different ?

You mean some posters on Newcastle-Online? No - a hefty proportion of Newcastle fans capable of independent constructive thought thats who. Note the percentage balance changes DAILY to people finally waking up from their doziness. A "hefty proportion" still being a massive minority all the same! How do you actually know that? Obviously you ignore the opinion of people on the internet, and I doubt you've surveyed 50,000 around Newcastle? I don't ignore the opinion of people on the internet but I don't count a few votes on a message board as "a lot of fans". As for the opinion of 50,000 fans, I can only go off 50,000 fans singing KK's name against Hull, the reaction from people around me everyday and of course, the reaction on most Toon message boards and Toon sites. You're basing your opinion on the songs the fans sing at games? Jesus christ... Better than a few votes on an internet message board... Would you like a bigger spade? To try to dig you out of the s*** you're peddling? Still, your hatred for Ashley has nothing to do with Keegan..... Gol, the best way to solve this is to pop out on Northumberland street and ask any fan the walks by whop the blame for the mess we are in, I bet you anything you like less than 10% will say Keegan.

It's too late for Saturday, he'll be watching from the stands at best IMO.
-
You mean some posters on Newcastle-Online? Exactly, the majority of NUFC fans still firmly support KK, just some very loud mouth people on here who like to blame him or the fans for all our problems.

Yes...Shearer, the man who stated he would never work under such a set up...he's the man to go for right this minute! Tron read further up. Then make smart alec remarks.

To be fair, most people on here at least seem to recognise Taylor is fairly s***, apart from Northern Monkey who is a psycho. A lot of us were annoyed that Faye was allowed to leave as well but that's history now. And Kaka was one of the biggest Ashleyites professing what a great job was done this summer with the transfer window. Even started a thread about how much he still loved the man. Yet this is the squad his much vaunted system has left us with. And btw for perspective, Collocini has been no better than Taylor over the last few games, they've both been absolutely horrendous. I disagree, Coloccini to be fair seems to have the basics right, he just needs to fine tune his game to the english style which will take a while Taylor has managed to play 4 games out of 6 now without slightly resembling a premiership defender, despite this being his 6th season in the first team. Absolutely shocking Fine tuning is costing us goals, like the first spuds one yesterday against a player new to the league too. I remember the exact same crap people were saying about boumsong when he first came, he was turned inside out in his first game against might Yeading, yet it took some months to start to admit he was playing shit. I'm not suggesting that Boumsong and Colo are the same, but they both have underperformed. The difference between them really is Boumsong was a crap player playing crap, Colo is a good player playing crap. Whether Taylor is a Boumsong or a Colo, I don't really know, he's shown evidence in the past of being a Colo but too often he's looked like a Boumsong.

There will not be a better time for Shearer than the afermath of all this. I think he will command respect from the players and would be able to do enough to save us from relegation. We'll be taking a chance on whoever we appoint, there won't be a queue of world class names waiting to take this god forsaken role. Shearer is worth the gamble right now, I would never have thought I would of said that a month ago.

You know what. I just getting really sick of every man and his dog having their say about our club. Telling us what's wrong from their all knowing vantage point. Mind your own sodden business tbh.

I give up arguing with people here, I was talking about Bassong's performance last night, but it looks like we were watching different games. If that's a definition of a great performance, I must not have a clue.
-
I think it's unfair to blame the fanzines, everyone was a little....hectic a couple of weeks ago, I know of people who weren't taking their kids because they knew how it was going to be. I was f***ing livid myself, even cheered the banner which I later realised was silly, people wanted a focus, and that was it. I'm not blaming 'us' btw, just saying there were mistakes made by many parties, supporters included, me, you etc. Not really a response to you, but I quoted you anyway, we all make mistakes I think thats a very fair statement tbh, everyone will come out of this whole mess not looking particuarily good. Lets hope that day comes soon and we can save this season from absolute disaster.
-
Dont be ridiculous. Yeah unfortunately you're right, it's just every time I log on it's at the top of the page, just can't resist the urge to click on it.

They need to have a club to sell at the end of the day. That makes no difference to Wise, he doesn't have a stake in it, unless he's promised his good will to Ashley for the support he's given him.
-
That sounds plausible, I could understand his reluctance TBH and although I think you are right he would be accepted. The moment things started to go wrong and performances didn't improve, he would be tarred with the same brush and made a scapegoat. It's really a shitty situation that we are in, the first thing a new owner will do is sack Wise and start dismantling the so called "Cockney Mafia" to win over the fans. Wise surely knows this so it makes you wonder if Ashley is serious about selling up why Wise or Llambias even care about making an appointment.

FFS can we not just let this thread die ?

after switching to the left flank because Bassong had marked him out the game. it was geremi he wrong footed to get the cross in. Hehe, damn flaw in my argument But Bassong hardly marked him out of the game.
-
Honestly watch the whole match again, Bassong was nervous tentavie and extremely error prone. The only reason Lennon was quiet was because a) he's not all that good anyway and b) Spuds were just as bad as we were in terms of positive football. Oh and spuds first goal came from a Lennon cross, awful marking by Collocini but the cross should not have been allowed to get in. I'm not sticking up for Taylor in the slightest, he was awful simply awful last night, but he wasn't the only one Bassong pipped him and Collocini for piss poor player of the match for me. So funny how people have these pre determined views on players, Butt's crap, Taylor's Crap, Collo's world class, Edgar's crap, Bassong the great white (well you know what I mean) hope. So they refuse to look at a game and judge the players performances on what went on. If you think Bassong was our MoM or even had a good game really you must be taking the same stuff as Gazza is.
-
definitely! That mistake by him last night is one of the worst Ive seen by anyone in a black & white shirt, and yes there have been a few to make a comparison with! It was a awful mistake but it was a bloody suicidal ball by Collocini.
-
Bassong was even worse last night.

Why sing about Liam O'Brien? Andy O'Brien? Terry Hibbert? Alan Gowling? Alan Shearer? Because they're our heroes and there's not much else left worth singing about. People sing about Andy O'Brien and he's a hero I'm amazed.
