  1. Bollocks, Cantona had a moment of madness, Barton had a moment of madness, both deserved their bans. Not claiming Guthrie's moment of madness was on the same level as theirs but it made me ashamed to see a player playing in Black and White do something like that, deserves the book being thrown at him tbh.
  2. I'm sorry but that's a pile of steaming shit, Guthrie's intentions were to hurt the guy that's got bugger all to do with this contact sport BS you spouted. I honestly think he deserves a very long suspension for this one.
  3. Well you must not have been a fan for that long then because, not wanting to sound all NE5 but we've been in a lot worse shape than this. This is however the lowest I have felt since we've been in the prem. I was not a huge Ashley supporter as my posts in the past have reflected but his statement is a very sorrowful one and I have certain sympathy for him, to feel unsafe about going along to cheer the team on is not a position as a NUFC fan I feel any pride in. Outside of Ashley my concern is for the future, I don't share any optimism that we'll get this saviour to take over, the managerial position is untouchable atm and geniually may have a fight on our hands to maintain our PL status, the players looks totally disheartened right now.
  4. Leaving Hughton in charge for too long, will be a disaster as far as I'm concerned. We have a really favourable set of fixtures coming up (well actually they started on Saturday ), perfect for the new boss impetus thing. But we will throw all that away if hughton is still in charge, he's not a manager he's a coach, he just doesn't have the ability to motivate a team. Our best chance of silverware will be gone soon too, if no one new is brought in. I agree we are going to find it difficult to get anyone in right now but we desperately need someone, Vegtables may be an option worth considering for the short term but it's dangerous as there is a possibility that we'll get carried away with some good results over a accomodating fixture list and we'll go on an firm up that tempoary manager.
  5. I honestly think Shepherd will be trying to raise the finance, he'll have to borrow like hell to get enough, similar to the Manure situation, but I can see him making a play for it, I hope I'm just spouting my usual crap though.
  6. Late again joining the debate here, so forgive me if I'm just repeating what everyone else has said. Personally I'm soft as clarts me and when I originally read the statement I just felt really sorry for him. Although I was cynical, I was always in the camp of wanted to be proved his ambitions matched our own, I hadn't at any point convicted him of treason against the toon. I feel really sad that it's come to this and he's obviously got to the point where he feels he has been hounded out of the job. Anyway moving on, things look bleaker than ever, I honestly can't see where the buyer will come from, if I was a betting man, I would not put it past a certain ex chairman trying to raise the finance to regain power and we'll be back to square one if that happens. The immediate concern though is the manager's role, we are kind of screwed right now and we desperately need someone, just look at Saturday's performance as evidence of that. At this moment in time I can honestly say I am as pessimistic as I've been about the club since it returned to the top flight. At the start of the season, I would have bet anything you like on us staying up, even with the lack of depth and the perma injuryed players we haqve, we still have the quality to expect not to have to even entertain the possibility of going down. Right now I would be delighted if we are still playing prem football in 09/10. We desperately need something positive to happen to this football club, Ashley telling the world that he doesn't want to stick around and therefore making the manager's job even less desireable. Then painting a bad picture of the fans, is not positive in the least.
  7. That was simply fucking embarrassing. We have lost 3 pts which should have been one of the bankers, and looking at us at the moment we can't afford to miss out on these type of games. At least Xisco improved in the 2nd half, he was awful in the first but credit to the lad showed some fight in the 2nd.
  8. Many more performances like this and we'll have the best stadium in the second flight of English football next year.
  9. It's not just the scoreline, we've been out classed by Hull fucking City.
  10. Pictures on the TV of Llambias smirking at the protests, disgusting to be honest.
  11. f*** off. How is he a threat when he has no chance of controlling the ball? Exactly the bloody point man, Ameobi is looking more threatining than Xisco, Ameobi shouldn't be more of a goal threat than anyone !
  12. Got to say that that half of football is just not good enough. Xisco has looked extremely average, if not poor in that half, Ameobi looks more of a bloody threat.

    If...

We didn't get one before today, we more likely than not won't get one after.
  14. OK you lazy bastard here goes: Dave being a cynical twat, but at one point arguing against himself. James and Sicko, think it's nailed on already and have dusted off there King Kev 1 shirts. TT's been to the pub. Afar's contributed some extremely witty and itelligent posts. And finally nothing else has happened

  17. I don't usual lower myself to swearing but fuck off you cynical twat
  18. Clearist indication yet that Owen is angling for the man who bought him to be the next boss. saying that has to be a bannable offense I couldn't agree with you more, I almost threw up there.
  19. Not if he was given what he wanted he wouldn't.
  20. To be fair, William Hills have been shortening their odds all afternoon after having large bets from Glasgow, Newcastle & London backing KK. aye, the Glasgow bets are a massive indication that he is coming back. How the f*** do you work that out then? It's James, his answer's not going to make any sense whatsover, lets just forget it's him saying this and blindly accept that it's the truth.
  21. According to NUFC.COM KK used Ashley's back door exit, make of that what you will

    If...

If it happened and KK was given the environment he seeks to manage, then my opinion of Ashley would go up ten fold. He will have shown himself to have been a really big man (in all senses of the word) to be able to put pride to one side and do what's best for NUFC. And I don't care what anyone says but KK managing this club with the authority and financial strength to back him up is what we need right now.
