  1. Arsenal's victory was top class. Liverpool's is marred by a second poor sending off in a row. I doubt Inter would have scored even if they still had 11 men. Zlatfan has had a 'mare over the 2 legs.
  2. Quality finish. Game over.
  3. Deary me, was that a straight red? Only saw the replay. EDIT: Oh
  4. No this is a poor record. Guess who it belongs to. 2007-08 21 (0) 2006-07 9 (0) 2005-06 21 (1) 2004-05 31 (6) 2003-04 34 (9) 2002-03 33 (3) 2001-02 22 (4) 2000-01 33 (11) 1999-00 26 (4) 1998-99 22 (7) Anyway, from Wiki about Cruz "He ended the season as the surprise top scorer for Internazionale with 21 goals, including the 15 league goals, and the second goal in the return match for the final of the 2006 Coppa Italia that Inter won 3-1 against A.S. Roma." Smith?? Nice work, Poirot. Good comeback on the last post btw.
  5. Always hated Inter, plus I don't have this irrational hatred of Liverpool like some people do. I see Zlatan is on form again...
  6. Would much rather Liverpool went through.
  7. I think we were the first, but not the last. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_Cup_and_Champions_League_records_and_statistics#Comebacks
  8. Canny, good to see those 2 on the scoresheet.

West Brom certainly know how to score goals.

Christ, i'm pissed of enough as it is, listening to those 2 clowns on BBC1 isn't going to help my mood.

Mackems, Brum and Bolton all have a game in hand over us aswell.

    Alan Smith

I forgot he was playing, such was his ineffectiveness. Even the most simple of passes seems beyond him.
  13. Taylor is borderline atrocious. Always looks liable to give-away a freekick. Smith... shit Duff... totally ineffective Smith = options and late on determination Duff = attacking alternative, plus clever player to have on when defending a lead. Taylor = headless chicken mode helps him throw himself in the way of everything, while not compromising the defensive unit as the four proper defenders remainon the pitch. Would also make a very good attacking substitution if we needed a goal. What kind of options does Smith give? The option to give away the fucking ball at every opportunity? The option to lunge in at every opportunity, even when a more conservative tackle would suffice? The option to be absolutely fucking atrocious?

Watch him fucking save it. Or not.
  15. Keegan appears to be underneath the priest's left arm, and Larry David to the immediate right of it.

    Carl Cort

Cascarino was top scorer in France one year iirc. Was on the 'roids over there too. Although he didn't know that at the time. Roids - how do you know that?! Have you read his book? Its supposed to be good. His article in the Times used to be utter wank.... he's been downgraded to a small column now Didn't he mention himself at every opportunity?
  17. Zamblera wasn't bad, showed some nice touches as he got into the game more. Soldeberg was solid generally, though his kicking was a bit suspect at times, went straight to the Bay keeper on the odd occasion. He might have done a bit better for the goal aswell, although I was down the other end.
  18. was a good game, Bay were unlucky, Troisi took his goal well.
  19. I'd love to see Man Utd/Barca meet at some point.
  20. I'm heading up to Blue Flames to watch it like, should be canny, Whitley knocked us out last season.
  21. Liverpool/Chelsea is the one tie I would like to avoid, especially if Sky were to show it, the hype-machine would be in full-flow once again.
  22. Friday week, due to Inter/Liverpool being played next week.
