"On the way back from Chelsea I (his friend) chatted to Norman Wooster on the tube (works with Graham Carr as we only have 2 first team scouts) who has been at the club 14 years. Lived in Spain for 5 years and was told to come back to the UK by the club. Now lives near Carr in Northamptonshire.

 

After transfer window he will be back abroad.

Watches a game nearly every day and not seen NUFC play live for over 4 years because of this.

Sees no value in UK players.

Why does he think he is worthy of this job, having done absolutely nothing of any real note. If you want to manage go and start somewhere lower down and show something that makes you worthy of consideration for goodness sake.

Stop begging for the job, as some sort of favour you sad man. Just comes across as though the guy just wants his meal ticket, as he is likely to not be kept around under any new manager. Just wants it out of the convenience of remaining in Newcastle and not having to look for any other work.

The way he was kowtowing to Mourinho on Saturday, and then harping on about Mourinho's recommendation of him was just ghastly. I mean the kind of thing that makes you vomit everywhere. The guy has very little self respect. Tragic stuff.

I honestly don't care about transfers, I barely think of them anyway these days. We just need to get the right manager. Have to hope that Garde is just negotiating the details.

It's weird I used to love the transfer window, and obsessing over any player linked. But I'm the same now, barely even realise the thing is open.

We just need a good manager in man. It would make a world of difference to things.

The most asked question from our beloved Geordie contigent today it seems. The latest on Remi Garde as we understand it is as follows:

 

 

GFFN exclusively revealed last week that Newcastle had contacted Remi Garde about the job. He then met with Newcastle representatives last Friday in London, but no deal was agreed.

 

GFFN cannot confirm reports that Garde only wants to join Newcastle this summer, but that there are members of Lyon's current staff that Garde would like to bring with him. The problem is, whilst he dare not admit it, Garde is going to struggle to convince some of those members of staff to leave Lyon, who are have now propelled themselves to a title challenge in Ligue 1. Even if Garde waits until the summer, there is no guarantee that the staff that he wants to take with him will leave Hubert Fournier's side with a potential Champions League campaign around the corner.

 

Anyway, Garde is one of several targets that Newcastle are considering and we can also confirm that he was recommended by Chief Scout Graham Carr. We are keeping a very close eye on this one though.
