Really not sure how this number 10 idea came about, for someone who clearly loves running at defenders and dribbling past them. The ideal place for him to do this is out wide where he has more space. Hope a change is made regarding this thinking.
Obertan on the other hand seemingly looks to play the short pass and link up play way too much for a winger, and doesn't seem to want to run at people enough. If anything it's probably worth playing Obertan as a striker again, similar to his first couple of games, to see how it looks, and keep Ben Arfa out wide. Obertan's pace from the through ball from the middle might actually be more useful then.

Ben Arfa needs a big game today, so he can start making some headway into the first team for league games. Would love to see Abeid state his case to cover Tiote while he's away also. Come on boys!

Feel bad for the Adeyemi kid, and I know he's only young, but as a black man you can't allow such a thing to upset you so much. He has to know his worth, and not let it reduce him to tears like that. That is exactly what these idiots want, a reaction. Just calmly alert the ref, point them out, and then make sure you talk about it in the papers, interview after the match etc. Call tham all out completely. Give them no place to hide. One day he'll realise that most of these kind of people are really just envious of him deep down. It's really quite fascinating.
Do you think anyone would know about this if he'd done that? I don't, it'd just be swept under the carpet as per normal, there are two reasons that this is in the news, his genuine unrestrained reaction and the fact that it was Liverpool fans. It's easier said than done to behave in the way you describe in a situation like that and although you're right that most of the time it'd be better to stay calm and not show that it's bothered you, on occasion we need people to react like that to remind us all that there's a lot of bad s*** going on that needs to be addressed, otherwise it's to easy for nothing to get done and for us all to keep our heads buried in the sand in blissful ignorance.
I hear what you're saying. However, purely for his own good, he can't let such things affect him like that. It will fuck him up completely.
You really have to ask yourself why they are racially abusing such a young man, considering he hadn't done anything to rile up the crowd whatsoever, on the pitch or otherwise, and they were winning the game 5-1. What is it that gets to some people so much that they just have to have a go at someone about their race? What kind of complex or insecurity inside them causes this I wonder? Why do they feel so threatened? It's amazing to me.

Rhodes looked good. Very intelligent movement, as already mentioned. Did seem a bit slow though, and not much of a presence. Be interesting to see how he does if and when he moves up a level.
-
So proud of this guy. Well done.

QPR have DJ Campbell and don't play him. Find that starnge considering how well he did for Blackpool last season. Is Andy Johnson really that much better? Foolishness.

Just seen the interview on sky and tbh iam blaming the media rep more than Redknapp......
Kept asking Redknapp, supposedly theres a clause in his contract and Redknapp responded with " thats what we hear " and then he came back again with would you be interested in the meeting the clause if its true......
Redknapp responded with "He's off to play in the African Cup of Nations now [for Senegal], so he's going to be away for a month or so so thats a difficult one.
Still a complete w*nker anyways, but the media as usual has a massive part to play in all this, fcking pricks the lot of them.
Media dude was probably a Spurs fan, seems a bunch of them are.
"Harry, Harry have you heard Ba might have a release clause! You could get him for Spurs! Please do!"
Every single person I know that supports any other club now wants to sign Ba it's crazy.
-
I bet there's a clause alright. For his contract to be ripped up should anything happen to his knee.
He clearly didn't seem to have that many amazing offers last summer, and so he really wouldn't have been in a position to request any kind of clause. The clause for West Ham was to protect against them getting relegated, as he clearly didn't want to play in the championship.
Would be very surprising to say the least.

Harry Redknapp .... so friggin' predictable.
I'm pretty sure Harry Redknapp is fantasizing about this guy already. The twitchy perv. They (Tottenham) will be a nuisance regarding Ba next summer, guaranteed.

Fergie rules out Lampard
Apparently QPR have admitted they bid £5m for Samba, while it will take a bigger amount surely it sums up our f***ing owner when we arent at least trying for him but are willing to pay similar for a raw youngster in Tompkins
Pay similar to the amount that can't get Samba? WTF?

If Carroll went to Villa it would be a good move for him and he'd have far more success IMHO.
Definitely. I agree completely.

They didn't have a Tiote type in his heyday at Chelsea.
Have Chelsea ever played a two man midfield with him? I honestly can't recall. And if so, who partnered him then?
At his very best Essien and Makelele really allowed him to do what he does best imo.
-
I like Lampard, but in a two man midfield at Man U? Not so sure. Who plays alongside him? They don't exactly have a Tiote type in there to support him either.

Our first touch was Coloccini hitting a long ball and I thought here we go, I couldn't have been more wrong and it's now up to Pardew to make sure we maintain the quality of football on show tonight.
We've shown we can be effective when we play the ball on the ground and we have players who are more than capable of doing it.
And yet two of the goals were as route one as you can get.
We were route one as f*** tonight but it worked from the off so no need to change it tbf.
Not true.
-
Where abouts in midfield does he play? If It's central I'm a bit worried.
It's central.
-
Wish he would stop f***ing up and giving the ball away so much, but generally very good tonight.
The thing is though he's at least one of the players who tries his utmost to keep the ball ont he ground and use it well, rather than just hoof it away needlessy. Does more good than bad with the ball the vast majority of the time. Class player.

Interesting quotes ... we've apparently put in a "very high offer" for Corgnet, although it was rejected.
-
Bogdan was fine actually, despite that comedy goal
Reo-Coker, good signing right?
-
Howard has to catch that.
-
Bogdan's vertical is non existant. Zero ups. Joker.
-
Carrick is shocking so timid, complete vanishing act.

£5 million, very nice deal.

Try him as a striker, like his first couple of games, and see how he goes. Doesn't look to run at players enough to be a winger.
Ben Arfa on the other hand loves to run at players, and can do this more on the wing where he has so much more space.
