  1. You know how wikipedia works, right? Well Mr. Verlaine, I guess the Deco move isn't looking as ridiculous as you claimed it would be now is it! O ye of little faith! If we sign Deco I'll be expecting an apology considerign the abuse you sent my way. :celb: :celb: :celb: :celb: :celb: :celb: :celb: :celb: :celb: Nice avatar, btw. Another s*** prediction. Aaaaaah so this is what's got your knickers in a twist! Never predicted we would sig him though did I. I said he might be worthy a cheeky bid and as it turns out it doesn't appear as though it was as impossible as you claimed it might be, as it appears as though he is available and might have indeed been offered to us. By the way we still don't know what the situation is.
  2. Good point. Lets get Ashley to buy him back. Chops and Carrol up front. Like the SAS (Shearer and Sutton) only CAC CAC or CACK? Buy Kaka to play just behind them and we'd be laughing. As long as it stops him f****** posting. OOOOOOOOOHHHH! WHAT A CLEVER BOY!!! I'll be doubling my posts from now on. Every thought that pops into my head becomes an instant thread biatch. I'll do it until it kills you.
  3. Shola's revenge! This is brilliant. The abuse he gets and he comes on and starts the season on fire! The strike force is going to be really healthy this season if he keeps it up. Top stuff!
  4. Switch to 3-5-2 with Patty coming on? Ecstatic for Owen and Ameobi! Both been through hell with injuries recently. Both spent a lot of time rehabing together too! MARTINS OUT!!! COULDN'T EVEN SCORE!!!
  5. Where is this from? Could you let me know what site has all the up-to-date scores? Thanks. Kaka, try www.7m.cn Choose english, they have more livescores there. Ah! Lovely. Thanks.

  7. Geezer on sky sports said Rozehnal is looking very assured at the back! We really need him to do well for us this season. A good atrt is always good no matter the opposition.
  8. Be interesting to see if Rozehnal is played at defensive midfield at any point (as he did at PSG at times), as it seems we are still after a top centre-back.
  9. Yeah probably one of the ones we missed out on which Sam was alluding to.
  10. Problem is though if we get all our new defenders from abroad it would be very likely we would start the season looking unstable at the back. Unfortunately, due to our recent history of awful defending everyone would get on the teams back, and even worse the defenders and before you know it they would all go down the route of Jean-Alain which would not be good. We need to support Taylor with at least a couple of premiership defenders like Sam says! Just thought of a few lesser players who played in the prem last year that we might consider but I really didn't see enough of them last season ... Anyone got any idea of how good Shittu or Sonko were last season? They would both fit the strong defender mould for sure. I'm beginning to wonder why we didn't go for Jagielka too at only £4 million.
  11. As far as players we've missed out on, I'm pretty sure Sam wanted Distin who ended up at Portsmouth. He's a good strong centre back with premiership experience for sure. Probably would have gone after Woodgate as well if he had been in the job a bit earlier. I think Sam is worried because as most have stated there are not many big, strong defenders with premiership experience which is his priority, and so with each passing day the pool is only likely to get smaller. I can't really think of anyone else who Sam might be currently targetting as far as the type of defenders he wants with premiership experience. Off the top of my head Wes Brown?, Silvestre?, Yobo?, Hyypia?, Campbell?
  12. If it's what i've been told then: No, no and hopefully not. Lovely. Thanks.
  13. Simple question NSG ... Does this have anything to do with the Stephens inquiry? Is this in regards to the current regime? and is it likely to hinder our preparations for the new season? Would appreciate it if you could at least answer that much with a simple yes or no to each. Cheers!
  14. Is this very serious? and will it hamper our preparations for the season in anyway?
  15. Gotta admit id love a home strip with Ronaldihio on the back! Wouldnt look right though!! what supporter wouldnt want their teams shirt with ronaldinhos name on the back?, (apart from Kaka the s*****r though). s*****r meaning supporter of course, just with not enough stars in Why is this so hard for people to understand? I didn't say I didn't want Ronaldinho. I said I didn't want to pay £58 million for him. Everyone says what if it didn't affect the rest of the team bnuilding but I don't agree. If we are brigning in players like Geremi, Quedrue and Viduka to strengthen the team and then we went out and spent £58 million on Ronaldinho it would be ridiculous to me. Ronaldinho alongside these players wouldn't be anywhere near the same player in my opinion and therefore it wouldn't be worth it. Not even close. So unless we are ready to spend an additional £50 to £100 million to bring in other top class players to play in the same team, it would indeed be an awful move. That is my point of view. No need to insult me because I feel this way as I really don't understand what the benefit of that is. Quite ridiculous why people feel the need to do this.
  16. As we are as a club right now you'd be happy if we went out and signed him for £58 million? Meanwhile in London Wenger is completing a deal for some kid that costs £500,000 who in a year or two will be one of th ebest midfielders in the country. I dream of the day we sign the Ronaldinho's, Ronaldo's and Messi's at the right age so that they flourish while they are with us and we get to flog them for these kinds of prices (£58 million). Seriously though KaKa, how often has that happened? Anelka & Fabregas are the only two he signed for minimal fees who've went on to big things. Players like Vieira & Henry still cost a fair bit to sign in the first place. May be wrong, but was Vieira not this country's most expensive central-midfielder when he signed, even though he flopped at Milan? Was certainly on a par with players like Batty & McAteer around the £4m mark when he arrived and I can't think of many more expensive than that before those two. £58 million me would be the highest transfer fee ever payed for a footballer and I would not be comfortable with us paying that for Ronaldinho at this moment in time. It would be embarrassing. If I woke up tomorrow and heard West Ham had just bought Ronaldinho for £58 million I would laugh my head off and I would think they were a bloody joke. It would reek of desperation! Maybe it's just me though ... which is fair enough. By the way comparing Henry's fee of £10 million to Ronaldinho for £58 million is a tad outrageous. completely Nuts..... If for instance we were to stregthen every other position we needed to and then have Ronaldinho...you would still be embarrased...quite frankly i wouldnt give a s*** Its like having your cake and eat it....... ffs stop having your head up your arse Okay, well I'm not sure why I'm being insulted here as I am entitled to my opinion but anyway ... no matter how much the team is strengthened that £58 million could always be spent more evenly to make the team on the whole even better. I can't see a realistic situation where we could strengthen the team to an extent that would justify spending £58 million on Ronaldinho.

  19. If Ronaldinho was on a free and we managed to convince him to come here then that would be excellent. To pay £58 million for him would be absolute madness. I would much rather we went for someone like Diego who is still an emerging talent and is the same kind of player who might indeed be interested in coming to us. Just doesn't make sense to me. I hate the idea of these overlly grandiose gestures that supposedly show "intent". Too many good players out there that would be excellent for a fraction of £58 million. £58 million?!!!
  20. Are you actually being serious right now? I cannot have this conversation. If you think that would be a sensible thing to do then more power to you. I have had my say. Oh ... and in response to your question, no I would not be happy I would be very dissapointed and borderline depressed.
  21. Me too but not now, as we quite frankly do not have any business even going for such players when we aren't even in Europe we would probably have to pay him £300,000 an hour for him to agree to come. Would be a horrible move. We have to earn the status that attracts these players and not try to buy them off.
