What's the rush with Taylor? I just don't get it. The guy is a talented 21 year old who is still learning and improving. In Rozehnal we have a Czech international who has played in the World Cup and in Cacapa we have a former Lyon captain who has won 5 league titles in France. Both have looked excellent so far and are far more experienced than Taylor. In my opinion they both have to be our first choice centre backs. This should not be viewed as a disservice to Taylor though. It's an excellent opportunity for him to learn and grow, and I reckon it will be the making of him. In my opinion the situation could not be more ideal as Cacapa is 31 and so within a couple of years at the most, he can take more of a back seat and allow Taylor to then step into the team at the age of 23, with all the time in the world ahead of him still. In the meantime Taylor will still be a valuable member of the team and the first defender in when someone is injured or needs a rest. Centre backs with experience are so important, and so we have to go with our most experienced pair. The only situation in which I would have had Taylor start ahead of either Cacapa or Roz, is if he was clearly better than either of them. thuis is definitely not the case.

Juninho left out of the Lyon squad last night. The plot thickens ... The number "8" shirt is hanging nameless in our changing rooms, an' all. Okay, this is getting freaky now ... It's happening I tell thee The galactico gift from Ashley.
-
I can feel it in my waters ... Juninho will come. Cacapa's been in his ear and Edmilson will join in January. Samba time on the Tyne.

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/article2351340.ece Well ... I'm speechless. More evidence we're signing Juninho I guess!
-
Tomorrow, at Man City. Newcastle have stepped aside to let Man City sign him. We have moved on to Juninho now. Keep up man!
-
Have faith man! This seems like the most realistic of all the 'flair' midfielders we have been linked with. Deco might have just been a bit out of reach and well Ronaldinho ... that was just silly (and depressing ). Juninho is much more realistic though and seems very similar to the Okocha and Djorkaeff moves Sam made at Bolton. He is just old enough to fit right in
-
It's a tenuous link at this point but I'll take it! The Trophy signing lives!!! From the Times: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/article2351326.ece

Would you rather he just ran as fast as he could to get through for the goal, despite there being no need? And he'd f*** all chance to get away on the first clip they showed. Still nowhere near match fit anyway, so relax. I am very relaxed

Shola was class in the build up to Owen's goal. Owen's pace ...
-
When we play the 4-3-3 I think it might be Faye, Geremi and Barton in the centre when everyone is fit. Butt has been a bit hit and miss so far this season, not quite athletic or quick enough to break up as much of the play as we need him to. Faye would be much more dominant in that position.
-
When everyone is fit, does anyonelse think Cacapa will take over for Taylor, and Faye for Butt? I have a feeling both will be first teamers for us.
-
I am so happy with the defenders we have brought in this summer for next to nothing. People were relatively down on the Rozehnal and Cacapa signings and complained that we were neglecting our defence and we ought to be spending 20 million etc etc. Good thing Sam wasn't listening. Looks like we have landed two outstanding defenders for the sum total of £2.9 million. Just ... wow.

Commentators were saying Owen has to run around more and work harder if he wants to get his match sharpness back.
-
Found another neck muscle from somewhere? What's the commentator on about?

Voted for Oba's ... Brilliant goal. Something about the way he didn't even hesitate or think about it, it was all seemingly in one movement from his initial touch to the eventual striking of the ball. The ball also appeared to be too low for a bicycle kick, but he still managed to get under it and generate a phenomenal amount of power on the ball, smashing it into the top corner. Sick.

It doesn't actually end! I can't see a full stop anywhere! PLEASE SOMEONE MAKE IT STOP!!!
-
I probably wasn't clear enough. When I said banned I meant for a game or two. I thought it was a horrific challenge.
-
Great move after missing out on Fernandes. Excellent business.
-
I have to say though, after seeing the actual video of the injury I feel bad for the guy. Especially as it was an absolutely sickening and unnecessary challenge. The defender was beaten and blatantly just kicked him in the back of the leg. I think he should be banned for it. I don't think this injury can be put down to him being injury prone either as it was such a horrible challenge that would have probably knackered a lot of people. I hate dirty challenges like those, they make my blood boil.

If Owen joins Man U? What you on about? Sorry guys, just bored ... I would like Baptista though, You know what they say though ... the power of the tongue and all that. Right I'm off to bed now. I'm reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally tired ....
-
If Owen joins Man U, I would like us to bring in Baptista. Alan Smith, Viduka and Martins upfront, with Geremi, Baptista and Barton in midfield. Come on Sam, make it happen! BAPTISTA TO THE TOON!!! You heard it here first ...
-
Well, well, well ... Ever since those tumour boy chants I knew West Ham would be cursed I tell you! I hope they are bracing themselves because it will only get worse. Faubert, Parker, Neil and Dyer already this season! Bellamy's hamstrings should be getting ready for a strain anytime soon too.
-
Shouldn't be sold. No way. However, he should not be in the first team either, as he just isn't that type of talent. He should spend the next couple of seasons on the bench learning behind Roz and Cacapa. He can then take over from Cacapa in a couple of seasons when he will still just be 23 and in a far better position to handle first team responsibilities.
