The thing is Coloccini actually has played in midfield regularly in his career, as well as at right back. These are positions he plays comfortably in, so it wouldn't be as though we were shoehorning him into midfield.

Was just thinking today how we have been linked with a number of centrebacks and not really many midfielders. Perhaps Coloccini might be moved to DM where I really think he could be very good. I like him as centreback and I think he will continue to improve and get better, but he is so good on the ball he could really improve our midfield. If we could partner someone like Samba with Bassong and slot Colo in midfield it could be a good way to go.

A part of me can't help but want to see all these players sold just to see who is brought in then, as surely if the likes of Barton are sold then surely players will be coming in. KD do you really think he was given enough of an opportunity to settle and even show his stuff? I hardly remember him playing a game?! I remember seeing him play for Germany when he was younger, in a youth tourney, and he was an absolute dynamo. He was everywhere. Breaking up play and bombing forward to join attacks. Can't believe what has become of the guy. He really needs to get his act together though. The plan was that he was supposed to become one the best mids in the world, but if you look at what some of his age mates in centre midfield have already accomplished, he is far behind. Even someone like Guthrie is holding down a spot in a Premier League club. Kevin will be 22 in a few months and has barely sniffed first team action. And its the like of Jenas, Huddlestone, and O'Hara that are keeping him out. I feel like he hasn't really been given a fair crack though. He cannot be that much worse than the players you just mentioned. I mean I saw this boy at 18 and he looked like the world would be his. It's amazing to me. Even when Mido is struggling with his weight he is still infinitely more mobile than Viduka and he still manages to cause a lot of problems. Very talented player. If Kinnear could rev him up a bit he would be a huge asset. The thing about Mido though is he is at his best when he is a fixture in the first team and he knows he is playing week in week out, otherwise he won't be bothered. So ... Owen out maybe?

This is just wrong from N'Zogbia. Just flat out wrong. It's downright insulting. He doesn't have to keep on saying this sort of stuff as it really isn't necessary. Pretty shocking behaviour.

You say NUFC need better. In what context, i.e. realistic achievements and targets, do you mean? You could do with better. But then you, Everton, and loads of clubs 'could do' with better players. He's your best forward. I've talked to quite a few other fans about this and the player on our team they are most nervous about when we play them is always Martins. Very interesting that.

I've said time and time again on here, that he should be starting ahead of that steaming pile of horse s*** Bentley. I hope Bentley is used as bait in any deal for Downing Or sold to pool for £11M plus Babel on loan. Fair enough. I just don't think Modric doesn't produce an end product consistently enough in the final third. The Bentley situation is amazing to me. I do think it's been a massive mistake playing him on the left. He should be on the right where he can continuously swing the ball in with his stronger foot, yes his delivery has been poor so far, but that is his best attribute so put him in a position to keep doing it till he gets that consistency back. Lennon is all pace and can't cross and never could so put him on the left where he can cut in more and cause havoc all over. Baffling decision from Redknapp in my humble opinion. Definitely something about O'Hara. Will be very interesting to see how he develops going forward and if he ever gets a chance. Have you seen Bentley play Rm this season?? Redknapp has given him countless opportunities to play that role yet he hasn't put in 1 good performance. He's played rm more than Lennon has tbh. Bentley should either be dropped or sold. If he is ever going to turn it around though it will be on the right and nowhere else. Like you say if he isn't going to be played there then he might as well be dropped. Goodness me Modric is average. All he is is a neat and tidy player, doesn't command a game enough for me. Lacks the physical ability but this isn't his main problem, it's that he seems to be way too timid and almost defers to others a lot of the time. Very average. Honestly there is no clear cut difference between him and Jimmy Bullard, in fact I would say Bullard commands a game far more. The only Spurs player with any guts is O'Hara I say it time and time again. He's got decent ability but more importantly a ton of character. Really lifts the team everytime. Just came on and was involved in three of the four goals.

I'd rather Arteta, a good player who doesnt whore himself about despite his massive talent! You can't afford Arteta. Nor would Moyes sell him anyway. More importantly Arteta is Everton through and through. He would never push to leave seems to love it there. If Bentley and Downing are £15 million then Arteta should at the very least start off at that price minimum.

The only way it's even close is if you count the African Nations cup as an injury, which I swear someone on here tried to do once.
