  1. Remember when people didn't want him here because he was an Arsenal reject? Laughable. That really pissed me off at the time.
  2. I'm happy for Cisse as I've always rated him. It's just a shame he's doing this at Sunderland. Was clearly going to flourish playing alongside a proper target man like Jones, for the first time in his career. Previously he's been used to much as a lone striker and it doesn't really suit him as he isn't great at holding the ball up and working hard for 90 against a pair of centre backs.

    Mark Hughes

I bet you Mark Hughes isn't appreciating it at the moment though! The whole world viewing his ineptness. Oh what irony too! Santa Cruz will probably be the one to send him to the trash heap.
  4. "Yeah definitely disappointed how we ever got beat today i'll never know, it was impossible to lose the game I could only see one winner really" "Not really no I couldn't of asked anymore we couldn't of played better then we did today certainly the Uefa Cup had nothing to do with it, we were pushing for the winner then we got dun in injury time" "We'll never get a better chance to come to Newcastle and win then we did today thats for sure" f***ing idiot that Harry Redknapp. Or were Tottenham that good ! Completely off his head.

What with Joe "he managed Wimbledon" Kinnear?! Well I never ...
  6. Don't think I've ever seen 'arry so bitter. I saw an article in the Times where he's apparently said to his players at half time that it would be 3pts for them and 1pt wouldn't do. So so so so so sweet! Utter nincompoop.
  7. Yeah but £8 million is no small thing for an 18 year old. You talk about waiting two years but anything can happen in that time. £8 million on the table might be too tempting to pass up and PSG aren't exactly rolling in it I don't think.
  8. Yeah, obviously most clubs have a scouting system, but not of any real note. When the info came out on the people who had been brought in, in particular Jimenez and Vetere, I think it was fairly clear that they had a hell of a lot of experience and some major footballing contacts around the world. Hopefully, it's something we can really begin to fully exploit now, as we clearly weren't able to in the summer, when there seemed to be too much of a difference of opinion a lot of the time.

Remember when Modric and Bentley were the signings of the summer and not admitting this meant you were just jealous. Oh dear!
  10. I'm not sure about the whole trial thing being the way the system should work, as most clubs won't necessarily let a player come on trial. For example this Sakho kid we are linked with is clearly a big prospect and I doubt they would let him come on on trial first.
  11. It's Chelsea, as they failed to land Robinho and are now acting secretly because they are paranoid about Man City.
  12. How much was Gareth Bale again? Was it that much? I can't quite remember now.
  13. I think we'll be in with a good chance of getting him. Seems to be at the age and experience level where a top team will not yet move for him and so we could be right in there. This is another advantage to getting in younger talent, as it gives us a better chance of getting really good players, albeit while they are still in their developing stages, but if it pays off it could be huge for us, and if not then they don't cost us that much anyway and a good amount of their transfer fee can be recouped.
  14. Just read up on him and apparently he is pretty much adept at both the left back and centre back position. Could definitely be a goer this one. Could be the left back to keep Enrique on his toes.
  15. The system is still in full effect! YEEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

    Mark Hughes

Absolutely no different from Allardyce. Doesn't have any grafters and bullys at Man City and so is absolutely tanking it. Plays Vassell ahead of Elano because he is more "workmanlike". Stupid. I might understand that against more difficult teams but West Brom?! Has left Gelson out of the team all season and has been giving games to Hamann. Gelson was one of their few decent players today and it's mental quite frankly. I hope we make a move for Gelson Fernandes as it happens. Good player.
  17. To think this boy is what 21? He will continue to improve and with further experience goodness knows how good he could become. Could anchor our defence for the next 10 years.
  18. It's so great to see Zoggy so happy. With the current mood he is in he can really begin to hit the heights again. I reckon he has found a big pal in Bassong and the fact they have both broken into the team and are holding onto their places really seems to be spurring both of them on. Excellent stuff.
  19. What have Spurs done to him? He was absolutely awful on Thursday. Big city, bright lights all gone straight to his head.
  20. Another dagger into Duff's first team prospects. Zoggy is back!
  21. Zoggy holding onto his place is just great news for us and him personally. Great stuff from Kinnear. Zoggy and Jonas on the wings gives me all the hope in the world.
  22. Really? Isn't he getting on a bit now? You sure it's not the Luis Garcia at Espanyol?
  23. Keegan didn't lose to Sunderland for one - I'd have sacked Kinnear for that. Hardly a reason to sack someone but I can see you're scraping the bottom of the barrel. Keegan failed to beat Bolton, Blackburn and Boro at home and only managed to pick up 2 points out of a possible 27 against teams who finished in the top 10 last season, only managing to win 4 games out of 17 matches last season. This year he got a good draw away to Man Utd, struggled to break down Bolton at home, got taken to extra time by a Championship club in the cup and got absolutely battered by Arsenal, yet you think he done a good job? Fanboytastic. Kinnear on the other hand has been a mixed bag, some good points picked up away with draws at Chelsea, Everton and Boro with 2 good victories against top half teams like Villa and Portsmouth, apart from the late goals conceded against Stoke and Wigan which were awful his record is reasonably solid, yet because you've got a chip on your shoulder over Ashley you think that's mediocre? Unbelievable really. Agreed. It's pathetic. Kinnear has clearly done well so far, especially considering the circumstances under which he came into the job. To suggest otherwise is just down to bitterness.
  24. I don't understand why people are so harsh on Kinnear who is clearly doing a heck of a job all things considered. People keep taling about getting "a quality manager" in, but who are we talking about? It's something that is so difficult to get right and there are no guarantees. We've seen what just happened with Ramos at Tottenham for example. Kinnear clearly has the respect of the players as well as the respect of the owners which is huge and is half of the battle at football clubs. The real next test he has to pass is in the recruitment of players. If he nails this then I see no reason why he shouldn't be given an opportunity. January is key.
  25. I remember when Ashley first tookover and there was this article on his business practice and how he was only really comfortable when he surrounded himself with people he knew very well. Looks like this is basically what this comes down too. Same principles in the hiring of Wise etc. It's what he should have just done from the outset tbh. Now he's finally doing it, it should hopefully mean that we begin to see some better direction from the club hopefully. As long as we continue to perform and bring in good players I would be willing to give it a chance.
