Yeah, just hope we can finish strong and see them off. That Pep style of football really needs a very high calibre of top technical and cerebral players to really flourish. As it requires players that can creat chances in very tight spaces, as the build up is so slow and looks to pin teams back in a low block. Funnily enough, I don't think Man City have done a great job of getting players good enough to replace the likes of David Silva, DeBruyne, Gundogan, Mahrez and Bernardo as they have left or got older. Could see them continue to struggle if they don't figure that out too.

Regarding the Quansah rumours that were discussed on here previously, apparently, he wants to leave Liverpool to join.

It really warms my heart no end to see both Spurs and Man Utd in the absolute doldrums. Stuck under ownership that keeps screwing up. Two clubs that revelled in Newcastle's suffering under Mike Ashley. Long may it continue.

I get the sentiment, but at the same time I think sometimes we give those teams too much credit. A lot of times they don't bring young players through very well and let a lot of talent slip through the cracks. Also, sometimes they are just a mess and players lose their way. Rashford for example is looking like a really good pickup for Villa, despite how bad things had become for him at Man Utd.

Yeah, that's a fair assessment I think. However, I have to say I'm not a fan of the not signing top four cast offs mindset. If it's a player that is deemed a better fit for us, and that can perform at a high level in our setup I'm not that bothered tbh. Some people probably thought Hall was a Chelsea cast off.

Really interesting thoughts on Elliott. I didn't know what to think when I saw the rumours. Was pretty much undecided based on what both sides have said on here. He has a lot of quality about his play, but not sure he gets around the pitch well enough, which would be an issue defensively especially.
