Onana, Gueye, Tarkowski and even Maupay to fill in for DCL have all been great pickups.

Good signing for them, fair to say that although Lampard and Gerrard always got compared and sort of lumped together as players and now as managers, I think Lampard has more chance of developing and succeeding than Gerrard. What that will translate to, I don't know but I think he's a better all-round manager
Yeah, I agree. Lampard is doing more with less talent IMO. His team plays with more organisation and uses the ball better too.

West Ham are a disgrace after the money they've spent
I really can't believe it
That Onana played a blinder deciding against going there and joining Everton instead, and I thought he was nuts at the time

Lampard has done a decent job sorting their defence and midfield out this season.
Yeah, very impressed with the work he's done.
They are very well organised and really competitive.

Brilliant tackle by Patterson there
Unreal!

This is an incredibly poor West Ham performance.

Aye, because a random twitter account dotted down a forward arrow on Trippier one of the few times he was so advanced compared to the ball it now makes perfect sense to slot Isak out wide. Thanks for the clarification
How people can watch so much football and not understand such simple concepts is really beyond me.
You should maybe also go and listen to Trippier's interview before the game discussing Isak, where he talks about him being able to play across the front line on the left, right and upfront.

I’m not if he does badly we just play Rich, Jesus, Rodrygo, Antony, Martinelli etc.Fair enough

He'll take time to adapt but he was poor there.
Not sure he will under Moyes.
Paqueta seems a rhythm player that needs to get a lot of touches consistently and needs to be found when he is in space.
West Ham don't use the ball well enough to get him touches in the right areas consistently.
-
Paqueta hauled off.
@Flip you have to be concerned about him leading up to the World Cup. Going to be horrible preparation for him.
-
Moyes is in big trouble. For some reason he has gone and spent big on players this summer that really don't suit his style.

Exactly the setup a few of us had tried to explain in the Isak thread, with him having a more narrow free role on that right side, while people were crying that he couldn't play there because he's not a 'winger'

Just typed paqueta into twitter. West ham fans want him off ha
Oh ... and comparing this to our game yesterday is not on. We did far more than either of these teams have so far. Just couldn't find the final end product.

Moyes will get the sack this season.
He's having a laugh with this football, considering the players he has at his disposal.
If Pochettino ends up there instead ... they'd be frightening.
-
Man, very early obviously, but don't think Paqueta will be well suited to this team. The build up from Rice and Soucek is nowhere near good enough to get him the ball consistently. Could end up being a really bad move.
They'd be better off playing him in a three man midfield with the other two so he can be more involved in deeper areas.
-
Everton are going to win this game.
-
West Ham on the other hand do not use the ball well at all.
Paqueta and Scamacca are not going to enjoy playing in this team at all.
-
Everton play some really good stuff.

I'm not so sure. I'd say they're quite equal
They can bring Cornet, Benrahma, Scammacca and Lanzini off the bench. That's miles better than our options.

West Ham seems to have a much better squad than ours
And yet play such dour football. Not sure how much of the ball Paqueta is going to have to really influence games.

Think that cluster of games so early in the season did not help at all.
