What the fuck do they think everyone is going to do tomorrow ? sit around and mope all day FFS man this is just a stupid idea
Genuinely think it would have been far more powerful having some sort of tribute at each game and event. This is ridiculous.

At least they’ve succeeded in making us miserable, if not for the right reasons
Yup, it's enforced misery
I genuinely can't believe it

I’ve seen a few bits of “I can’t believe people are carrying on as normal” handwringing this morning.
I’m not sure what the expectation is? Life is fucking miserable enough at the moment without expecting people to forego all leisure activity to sit in front of BBC News for the next week and a half. Not like we’re getting ten days off work either.
Man, that is so weird. What does that even mean?!
When the people closest to us pass, most of the time we're expected to push through it, and we're grateful for anything that can take our mind off it for a few hours.
For the most part the woman lived a comfortable life to a good age. It was not a tragic passing by any means, compared to Princess Diana's for example, which was so shocking at the time.
Now we can't even just kick back this weekend, unwind and enjoy one of our favourite pastimes after a working week. It's like they're trying to force us to be as miserable as possible about it.
Very very strange this whole thing.

I genuinely cannot believe they are looking to cancel this weekend's games man. I'm so confused
I mean ... is everything else going to be closed down too? Or every other public event? Shopping as well? Why specifically sporting events?
I mean, the funeral isn't even this weekend. Anyone understand the thinking behind it?

That manager left for Anderlecht at the end of last season. Goes to show the power of a big club at any nation.
Ah right! Didn't realise. I suppose they could still snag him off Anderlecht if they rate him highly, although that's probably unlikely.
-
Yeah, think it's a decent move for him tbh.
It's been a few years since the incident now, and there's a lot less pressure for where we are as a club at the minute, and he won't be playing every game week in and week out.
Also, has a really good set of defenders in front of him even when we play our second team.
Really hope he does well. Much too young and had too much talent to just get thrown away over that one game.

At one point BT sport were claiming the Man United players might have been too emotional after hearing the news of the Queen only 90 minutes before kick off. Blamed that for the shite atmosphere too.
Embarrassing stuff

Real Sociedad were poor tonight. Man Utd were even worse.
Casemiro and Antony did not look that great at all.
-
Antony has been anonymous. Completely forgot he was on the pitch!
-
Could see Moyes getting sacked this season if he doesn't sort himself out.

That's never a pen like. Lol at Man U but yet another failure of VAR.
Cannot believe that was given
Funny though as it's Man United at Old Trafford and all.

Cassemiro has not looked great at all.

Real Sociedad really do play at a shockingly slow pace.
Isak is going to be so much better suited to the way we play.
-
Mourinho flopping against Ludogrets. Team looking awful again, as they don't use the ball well enough.
-
Just realised that Real Sociedad replaced Isak with Super Eagle Umar Sadiq who has started off the season in great form in La Liga after coming up with Almeria. Already scored 3 in 4 games, 2 of which were for Almeria.
Think he might turn out to be a really good replacement for them. A lot of clubs were looking at him after his exploits with Almeria last season, having taken over from Darwin Nunez and actually leading them to the top division.
Really looking forward to the game tonight now. Hope he smashes Man Utd. Maguire is playing too!

That Belgian club their owners own, Union Saint-Gilloise, had a historic season last year.
Wonder if their manager is in the reckoning for the Brighton job.

Brighton are a really well run club but I cannot see them coming back from this like. It's absolutely brutal.
They apparently already know exactly who they are bringing in.
I think they'll transition seamlessly and make everyone look silly for expecting a demise.
-
Yeah, imagine if everyone at the club gets injured too. We wouldn't be able to play any games.

Hope Pope doesn't get injured or we are so fucked
Man, we've had moments where Dubravka and Darlow have had to play and looked ropey for us. It's not that deep.

Just caught up with the highlights, man alive, one for Joe Gomez to forget. I have never thought he was a high-class defender, was always surprised when he was in and around the England team.
Gomez has everything to be a top defender, but he wasn't smart enough to leave and go somewhere to play every week, and so it will continue to be this way everytime he comes into the team for them.
Someone like Tosin Adarabioyo at Man City was getting the odd game here and there too, and so chose to go to Fulham, and he has benefitted massively from it. Really establishing himself as a defender now.

Emergency loans shouldn’t be allowed TBH. You go in with what you got. If it’s Gillespie then so be it IMO.

Even the government came out and said there was no need man
Why not just give the woman a tribute at each game, which would have been far more meaningful.
I mean ... are they going to force us all to watch coverage on TV of her life etc. If not, then what's the point of this.
We'll all just end up watching the foreign league games instead anyway.
