Gordon was better when he went to the left against Forest and again today. Barnes looked great both sides against Forest, and in particular was combining very well with Livramento on the right. This is not rocket science.

Ah, okay. Fair enough. Didn't realise there was a language issue. I am already in disagreement with the clubs policy of going after Prem proven players at the minute. This is the most expensive of markets and has always been. Elanga is coming off a really good season at 21, and so that £50 million valuation is exactly what you'd expect to have to pay in the Premier League. It is not out of the ordinary. We paid £40 million for Gordon when he had done very little at Everton in comparison. I used that to show that the price is comparable. If the club is committed to shopping in this market we are going to end up paying a lot no matter who it is. The issue isn't Forest asking too much, it is us pursuing players at the wrong time in the most expensive market.

It's perfect Think Man United is slightly more enjoyable though.

This is such a waste of my time. It's also Gordon's better position. Sacrifices have to be made because the club are apparently incapable of finding a right winger. If Gordon is the one that has started slower this season, I think it makes more sense to play him where he is more comfortable. Barnes looked just as dangerous on the right last game. At the very least they should have swapped at times, but whatever!

I think I've said this before. This guy has unreal pace and decent movement. If you can play him in behind or into space, and all he has to do is either shoot or pass then fine. Anything other than that and he is astonishingly limited. If anyone is in front of him he's passing the ball backwards. If he tries to dribble he's getting pushed off the ball as he has no physicality. It is a huge risk playing him without Trippier behind him to play him in behind all the time. Joelinton despite looking like he was playing with Timberland's on all game, did excellent to turn Maddison in the centre and finally play in Murphy with a perfectly weighted pass. And it got us the three points today. Thank God.

I'm putting that on Howe. Should have just put Barnes on the right as he looked better than Gordon there last game, and he's the one that is wanting to play and so should be fine to make the sacrifice of playing there. Poor decision.

Probably a pen shout. However, his lack of awareness to spot Barnes, who was in for a tap in so early during his run, was so incredibly poor, that he probably got what he deserved!
