I mean, if Gabriel Jesus performs like this then he has to. That being said, lately it's been Neymar up top with Vini and Raphinha on each side and Paqueta right behind (playing as a 9 at times with Neymar falling deep to create) and do think it will remain that way unless Gabriel Jesus absolutely balls out coming two months.

Ah, right. Interesting. Thought Richarlison had been playing as your lead striker for some reason.

Jesus is looking a great fit at Arsenal, think if he stays fit he probably makes that position his own.

He's not better than any of Spurs' current front 3. Were you expecting him to slot straight into their first team?

To be honest I was baffled by the signing at £60 million. Genuinely wondered if they would be switching to a back 4 to fit him in.

I don't think Spurs have been so bad, it's more a case of Chelsea being so good. They've pinned Spurs back and not allowed them out.

The defending for the goal was shite but for me that looked a tactical issue more than a gameplay issue. Still in the tie though, should be an interesting 2nd half.

Spurs have had 32% possession, and just 1 shot on target and haven't even managed 1 corner all game. Think it's a shocking performance.

They should be going toe to toe with this Chelsea team at the very least, with the players they have. They've been completely outclassed.

Some good options on the bench for Spurs.

So is Richarlison going to be a bench option at Spurs?

Looks like Gabriel Jesus is going to lock up that lead striker role for Brazil in the lead up to the World Cup then.

It's gone way past the point where Forest are just being ambitious in the transfer market.

The money they are spending is bonkers. If they don't stay up they are in big trouble. If they do stay up, they won't be spending any money next year.

They are absolutely going down the route of throwing money at players.

They've spent about £90 million and are targeting players that are mostly from smaller clubs or players that weren't getting opportunities at their previous clubs. They haven't spent more than £20 million on a single player.

Lingard is the only big wage guy and he's on a one year deal. Forest definitely seem to know what they're doing. They're wage bill was miniscule as a decent number of players that got them up were on loan with them last year.

That Scamacca doesn’t look at all the type of striker we need tbh.

I was shocked Moyes went for him.

He doesn't really impose himself physically. He's more of a technical link up and move striker, and honestly is more akin to Haller who Moyes didn't like at all.

Moyes would have been better off going for Awoniyi who started for Forest today instead. More of a Moyes striker.

He looks tailor-made for the PL.

Was on Liverpool's books for a while but couldn't get a work permit, as they got him as a youth, and so got loaned out a fair bit, and it slowed his progress.

Finally got a permanent transfer to Union berlin in Germany last season and led them to Europe as their top goal scorer. He's always wanted to play in the Premier League though, so really happy he's got his chance now.

He was very good. Always a threat and playing it forward after holding up. Complete contrast with Antonio today

Yeah, I really like him. Always gives 100% and makes defenders work. He'll get goals too.

Was a scrappy one today, but he was in amongst things looking for a chance. Chris Wood would have been stuck on his heels in comparison.

Yep. They are probably our direct competition for top 8 aspirations, their rightful position should be around 10-12th IMO, they had a good season last time round.

They have got a bunch of injuries in defence  and haven't introduced any of their new signings so it will pick up at some point. Best to build up a lead now!

They look really poor imo, interesting little fact after next week, we will have both played the same teams in our opening 3 games.

I think once Cornet and Scammacca start getting introduced they'll probably pick things up, so good if they drop points now.

  11. I like Joe Willock, but he just doesn't seem like a first 11 player yet.

Should be an option off the bench for now. Hope we can get another starter in midfield before the window closes.
