Tbh I think the Conference League might even end up being more meaningful than the Europa League, certainly if all of its main contenders continue to be otherwise unfavoured teams with largely empty trophy cabinets. I love the Europa League but even that gets routinely won by teams who'd arguably swap basic attendance in the Champions League for that piece of silverware.
Man, I find all of them fun to follow.
But, yeah, it's been interesting watching some of the smaller teams in Europe in this competition, that don't get as much coverage ordinarily.

aren’t a lot of Italian stadiums half empty because of hooliganism or is it their economy?Man, I don't know.
All I know is I was not rooting for West Ham after they cut that man's head open for absolutely nothing early in the game.
He wasn't winding them up, wasn't wasting time, nothing ... sick individuals.

Fair play to West Ham. Great to see an English team outside of the shameful six to win a trophy. Can't understand the hate.
Happy for the players mostly, and Moyes somewhat I guess, even though the football was terrible.
Those fans though man, oof. Didn't really mind who won at the outset but the way they cut that man's head open was so unacceptable. Hope they still get a very harsh punishment for it. Maybe toss them out of Europe next season.

The way Bowen shooed that fan away man

Very jealous.
A trophy is a trophy man. Everyone laughs at this competition till you see the winners after they get the win. Roma were loving it too last season. It's valid.

Fair play to them, but a disgusting night overall.
Cracking that man on the head, getting a penalty that was at best fortunate, playing such an awful match ... but here we are.
-
Woah, what is Moyes thinking there. Game isn't over

What a goal! Get in!

Would love him here, don’t think he would cost all that much
Considering the World Cup he had and all the attention that came after, it's been fairly quiet on him.
Still such a good age too. Could definitely see him slotting into that position for us. Maybe things pick up on him after this game is out of the way.

Zouma off and replaced with Kehrer ... big downgrade.

Gets cracked on the head and now has that given against him. That's tough.

Moyes ball is awful man.
I just don't understand what they are even trying to do when they have the ball.
Just seems it's all just random and hopeful, with direct balls to Antonio if there's any uncertainty or pressure.
Just so bad.

What idiots man.
Shows what happens when you let football fans drink in the stands.
No excuses man. When are these people going to just grow up?
-
Grown men cannot just go to a game and support their team without acting like animals.
Really hope they lose this game now. Don't deserve to see their team win here.

Donny van de Beek is leaving Man Utd and has been linked with us in the Sun, who say we tried for him in Jan. We also looked at him in the first transfer window after the takeover. Also says that he is open to the move.

Honestly if this patter carries on all summer it’s going to fucking end me.
Alright alright, I've had my fun for today, and so I'll exit now.
I'll pop back in to have a cheeky dig at whatever the 'bed wetters' are crying about tomorrow. So I can give them something else to whine about.

I'm not complaining, I'm just pointing out your hypocrisy.
You are one of the most narcissistic people I've ever encountered, man, this is entertaining stuff
You don't even know who I am!
If you can boldly claim I'm a narcissist based off a few forum posts, it's very likely you are the actual narcissist.

I'm not reading your post because a quick scan shows it's just going to be nauseating, but we're in massive need of reinforcements in centre midfield. We were in January, and we still are. We finished the season with Gordon, Anderson and an injured Bruno there. Literally every one of our central midfielders were injured by the final whistle
It seems when you lot are moaning continuously and making out Howe or the club don't know what they're doing, that in your minds it plays out as if you are simply pointing out the signings we need to make.
Well I assure you it's far more tedious and insufferable, but carry on though, and I'll be sure to keep reminding you.

It's not like Kaka to completely ignore the actual arguments, deny reality, and take any opportunity to pat himself on the back like.
Ah, here we go again. Evil KaKa patting himself on the back and being patronising and arrogant right?
Last summer and in January people were speaking so matter of factly about how bad things would be if we didn't make those signings, and they complained and complained and complained.
No matter how you cut it, it was ultimately all for nowt, as things worked out just fine and they were wrong about it. Just because it didn't work out how you anticipated don't turn that around on me and claim I'm patting myself on the back because I pointed that out.
I know you guys get really wound up and find it annoying in these instances when these kinds of things are brought up, but equally it's really annoying to some of us when the incessant complaining and doom mongering is going on too, and so I guess we're all even.

Liverpool signed Robertson, Wijnaldum and Henderson form poor teams and they were all crucial players for both their League and Champions League achievements.
Teams mismanage and waste quality players all the time. Taking full advantage of that is a key strategy in building up a quality squad of players to compete.
I think the three teams that went down this season have a lot of very good players between them. A ridiculous number of them actually.
