The worrying thing about that enquiry is that they would never have made one unless they had been given some form of encouragement from Isak or his more likely his agent .
Not true.

They would have to shut down the whole club if this happens.
But at least we'd get to keep Minteh!

Both were highly rated tbf. Most people said at the time, Guehi was a coup for Palace.
The narrative on here would have been, we shouldn't be buying Chelsea cast offs, and we shouldn't be giving them money.
Then as soon as they go somewhere else and do well people start fawning over them, and claiming they were highly rated back then and would have been considered good signings.
When Chalobah goes down the same sort of path, I'll remind you.

Why do we keep bringing up Harvey Barnes in conversations about who we should or shouldn't have signed? The bloke has been very good for us ffs
Yup, also there were no guarantees Gordon's progress would be so rapid, and so he was brought in as a reliable contributor on that left side.
He got injured early doors and Gordon had a breakout season.

If we went for Tomori or Guehi straight from Chelsea people would have been saying we have our CB back pairing sorted for the next ten years like they did with our full backs when we signed Hall and Tino.
They would be fewming if we bought them at age 27 after years Wolves or Leeds though.
Lies!
You only have to look at what was being said when we were linked with Chalobah last summer.
Tomori and Guehi did not have anywhere near the reputations they have now, back then.

This is just every player playing like they do for their clubs. They haven't been drilled into playing any specific way together.
Stones, Rice, Foden, Walker and Saka are all playing that super slow controlled possession style in the build up phase from their club managers tactics.
It's not suited to the other players though, as they are struggling playing that way in tight spaces and with tight windows in which to make passes.
This team needs to be more direct and dynamic to open up the game and exploit space quicker. This is just so awful. Don't understand what the manager has been working with them on.

Was dropping off ... this is actually sad.

Slovenia are actually cooking here.
This is so crazy man.

It's the refusal of Trippier to use his left peg once in a while that bothers me.
Thought he'd be much better on that left side going forward. Been so poor. Offers no attacking contribution.

We have a sprinkling of players who have legitimately been some of the best in their countries and respective positions, in the season just finished, Foden, Bellingham, Kane (arguably), Rice. You wouldn't believe it watching them in this tournament, they're like ghosts.
Pretty shocking the effect a poor manager can have.

My God ... this is fast approaching Scotland levels.

Slovenia really pass the ball quite well.
Looks lot more assured of what they're doing.
-
Average movement, and a reluctance to play a riskier pass in between the lines or in behind. Awful stuff.
Slovenia look very well organised and move the ball around faster and with confidence.
This could be tricky, if England don't sharpen up.

England can't get the ball into the opposition half! Southgate ball

Let's see what happens now we don't have the leverage to demand £100m.
Would love to see the lad turning out for us again next season, but a bit worried that he'll have been playing relentlessly for ages, come the end of Copa America.
We need to become less reliant on him whether we sell him or don't.
The release clause was the value deal.
His actual value to the club will be higher than the release clause fee.
Typically the release clause agreed with a player is a compromise, to make it more straightforward for them to leave if certain clubs come in for them.
The release clause expiring doesn't mean we are more vulnerable to lower bids. You can still accept lower bids even with a release clause in place.

Fuck it, looks a good shout, he'll do. Seems to have played a bit on the right in highlights. Please Cc Eddie Howe. Maybe tell him he's actually called Lawrence Major though.

Most of the left footed right wingers are more Gordon types. Direct and explosive.
Olise was one that had that creative, highly technical element to his play.
I noticed Croatia played Lovro Majer from the right, and he has that kind of creative, technical game, but not sure if he's the answer.
Think we're more likely to end up with a player like Gordon on the right too, rather than a Silva type. Can't think of any other players in that style for that side.

France have been a disgrace so far considering the squad they have.
They're so similar to England.

Get in Austria!

The funniest thing about this whole Tomori thing is that people would have been fewming if we went for him straight from Chelsea ... same with Marc Guehi.

If it was a straight choice between Bowen and Mbeumo who would you prefer?
Mbeumo.

If you put the fans in charge I have no doubts that the club wouldn't exist in a year.

Dortmund love buying young players, but they never pay big money for them do they ?
Just over £30 million for Adeyemi.

They're enquiring with Newcastle because of this PSR thing.
They don't need the players permission to enquire.
If we accept any bid then they can speak to the player to try to convince him then.
