Joelinton shouldn't be playing more than one half so that's fine. Bruno coming on should be fine. Just needs to not go flying about and hurt himself. It's not the most taxing game with the way they are just sitting back, so shouldn't be too bad. Barnes off has to be an injury right?
-
He's not playing the 6, but he should be. He's the right side 8 and is struggling being further forward against the low block. Not seeing any passes and can't control the ball well enough with people around him. Miley is at the 6, aand I'd switch him with Longstaff. Miley is far more likely to make something happen further forward.

Man ... I am lost for words.
-
Can Trippier get in position to put crosses in?! Why is he so deep and just passing it around?
-
Longstaff looking for the easy way out by falling over as usual.
-
Just grateful they aren't more of a threat going forward. This set of players are pitiful at creating chances for us.
-
He should be higher and wider too. So annoying.
-
Oh my goodness ... please put Longstaff deeper. He can't play in the tight spaces with them sitting deep. The state of that touch man.
-
Harsh!
-
They're not looking to pressure us in our build up. I'd swap Miley with Longstaff. Rather Miley be further forward to make things happen. Let Longstaff sit deeper and just keep things simple.
-
That Longstaff and Almiron combination on the right is giving me anxiety.

Got tackled. Didn't have enough room to try and round the keeper. Wrong option in that instance.
-
Really really hated Osula trying to round the keeper there. Big fan of strikers that pick their spot and finish with conviction. Come on Osula, better than that next time please. Let's go!

Beautiful way to make up for the poor challenge on the goal. Get in Miley. Great strike!

You're free to adjust your expectations. Also, I never mentioned organic growth. However, completely free spending doesn't interest me either. Not excited by the prospect of watching the club with the most money just eventually pummel everyone else all the time. For people that enjoy that sort of thing, I guess also supporting PSG or Bayern is an option.

Pretty annoying we can't get Joelinton some rest. Willock is so injury prone man. Might have to start looking at moving him on I think.
-
Yeah, I hear that. Personally, would still avoid it if at all possible, but yeah, if it's the only option and it's someone majorly on the downturn then not as big a deal.

Think a lot of people were anticipating us being the next Man City and still can't get over it. Personally, I found the Man City thing to be incredibly manufactured and fake. I'm not sure what the satisfaction is with that approach. It's like playing a video game with a cheat code and just stacking your team. The reality is that if we were able to spend as we please, we'd have the capability to spend to the extent that we'd just eventually be on top all of the time. I guess some people actually enjoy that level of dominance through just having much more resources than everyone else, but for me that has nothing to do with any kind of sporting competitiveness or excellence. It is immensely more satisfying bettering teams at the moment having managed to build such a good team with what we are currently able to spend within the restrictions. It may eventually mean a big sale, but even then that will likely land us a major amount of money and room to manoeuvre to likely come back even stronger if we continue to identify players as well as we have done. This is right up my street really. And so it is all quite enjoyable, and fun to follow. The one thing I am very hopeful of is that if we do choose to sell a big player, that we do everything in our power to ensure it is to a club outside of the Prem, so that we don't let any of those competitors benefit. That will be key to then continuing to close the gap on them.

Looked good today, albeit against weak opposition. Heard some Man City supporters saying they think he'll leave once Marmoush comes in, as there'll be too many ahead of him.
-
Yeah, Malen is more of a wide forward. He would essentially provide the pace and runs in behind Murphy currently does, but he is a significantly better dribbler and finisher. He also gets to the byline for cutbacks more. He is also better technically all around. I haven't paid enough attention to his work rate, so can't really argue on that. Possession wise his numbers are better than the likes of Mbeumo, Semenyo and Elanga.
-
Heard that about Mbeumo not too long ago on here. When I see what both Mbeumo and Wissa at Brentford are able to do in the Prem, it's hard to envisage Malen not being a major threat. Very similar sort of profile.

You just know the day after he signs he'll receive a lifetime ban from any kind of sporting activity.
-
Fullkrug man ... my God! Can't be bringing these older strikers to the Prem. Struggle with the intensity. Guy can't stay on the pitch.

Nice goal. Good start for Potter.
