Nice play Woltemade.
-
Though Gordon was going to miss for a split second as well
-
That defensive line from Chelsea by the way
-
Man ... that was frightening from Willock. Thought he was going to get caught on it. Thanks God he passed it! Unselfish from him to be fair. Good play.
-
Great goal. What a ball from Tino through the middle. Nice.
-
Willock is so soft man ...
-
Yikes. That is damning. If this guy doesn't turn things around by the end of the season, I think he's going to be gone in the summer.
-
Lamine Camara's name keeps coming up. Would be great to have another DM option. Douglas says he'll likely be targeted as Willock makes his way out.

Yup, tonight again both Man City and Chelsea centre backs were dealt with something rotten. In particular Guehi got done by Valverde with a lovely touch for his third and Fofana was turned back and forth by Dembele for his goal.
-
Yeah, that's a fair point. They were really solid defensively.
-
Real didn't even have Mbappe and Bellingham. Enjoyed that too much. They'd better not cock things up next week. That Vini penalty miss was so annoying.
-
Think he's ridiculously young still too. Isn't he like 20 years old or something?
-
God I hope so. And then I hope Man United finish 5th and Liverpool 6th so they both miss out.
-
That's interesting. Sometimes I think I see something there and other times I'm not so sure. Being at Spurs certainly hasn't helped that's for sure.
-
What a spectacularly chastening night for Man City and Chelsea. Lovely.
-
Man City are getting dealt with. Please add at least another couple and don't concede.
-
I'm glad someone said it. You'd think no other centre backs make any mistakes Funnily enough I watched the Gala vs Liverpool game beforehand yesterday. The absolute state of Van Dijk and Konate that game man. My God

Absolutely delightful seeing Man City getting pumped like this. Hope Real keep it up.
-
Think he's been more assertive with the ball since Bruno went down, and oddly enough it has improved his ball retention and use of the ball, as he's more aggressive and forward thinking with the ball right away. Hope he keeps that up even once Bruno comes back in.

Watching the highlights back is quite astonishing really. This team creates a decent amount of chances. They may not always look pretty or be pinpoint precise ones, but there is enough there for a pretty basic traditional striker to capitalise on. An old man Callum Wilson or Chris Wood likely manages to bundle in at least one goal in the box yesterday. Because of the current situation upfront there is so much pressure for everything to be so perfect before we can seemingly muster a goal, which is just ridiculous really. To make things even more frustrating, the wingers have this odd knack of making a mess of the simpler final passes/crosses that will almost guarantee a tap in. Yesterday, Elanga takes an extra touch or two that makes his ball across more difficult, and increases the likelihood that it will get cut out, which it did. Barnes was also played in behind in a similar manner and just had to roll it across to runners through the middle, and incredibly, he didn't even look to cross it and instead started trying to cut back to shoot in traffic and it got blocked. Both simple tap ins that were screwed up somehow from both wingers. Opportunities that can't be thrown away because those are the only ones you can envision the players upfront scoring from at the minute. Ultimately needed an almost perfect pinpoint cross from Murphy before they could get a goal in the end.

Howe said: “I haven’t seen the goal again and it’s sort of a little bit unclear to me quite what happened. Sometimes you don’t get the fixed picture, so I’d need to see it again before giving you my opinion. “But certainly as a team, we should have done better. We defended so well for the game, all through the game in different phases. “The goal seemed soft. All I remember is a ball went through the middle of us and it should never happen at that stage of the game."
-
Just look at the time on the clock man. How is that ball being played right through the middle to Olmo at that stage of the game ... why is there such a big gap between the defensive line and the midfield line? Why are there so many gaps to exploit so late in the game holding onto a one goal lead. This has to get sorted out in this team. Don't know if it means getting in a midfielder with a better sense of defensive positioning. This pass has been happening into that gap for I don't know how many years now! Puts the defenders in a terrible spot every time. Players constantly sneak into that position and punish the team.

The season's pretty much done. Might as well hoy him upfront and see what happens. Doesn't do enough down the wings for me. Team is too right side dominant at the minute when it comes to creating chances.

It's a shame the game ended up like that right at the death, as it has too often this season. It's ended up spoiling what was a ridiculously good performance from the boys, missing some incredibly important players from the team that started tonight. Glad they were able to at least get a goal and that penalty hasn't ended up meaning a loss, as that would have been horrendous. Fair play to the team tonight. Still think they deserve huge credit.
