So impossibly good today man. Played such a big role in shutting down Yamal too, by doubling up on him all game with Hall, and never slacking on that assignment. He's a force of nature at the minute.

Or a loan perhaps. Just long enough to see what he has to offer and then bring him back to replace Wissa after next season perhaps, the way things are looking.

Don't envy any of our defenders this season tbh. This team is so chaotic to play in and it really needs to be sorted out in the summer somehow. Completely lacks composure and invites so much pressure on the defence. Thought Malick was brilliant all night. Really unfortunate he's made that challenge at the end. Still room to grow for him though. He's played so much it almost feels like he's been here longer than he has.

It was a really poor decision. Amazed me that Tonali was even pushing that high up the pitch on that counter still. Team really needs some training in calming games down at the right moments. They are all awful at it ... except Miley.

Very commendable showing I thought. Still a bit too eager and excitable when he initially receives the ball, and just needs to slow down a bit. That will come with more game time and experience. He may end up needing to move on to get that much needed experience come the summer though, as he really needs it. Not sure if he'll be given enough of those opportunities at Newcastle.

I genuinely couldn't believe he tried to switch it to the other side to Tonali. It's so typical of most of the team though. Terrible decision making so often.

It's a nasty little shimmy from Olmo, but absolutely ridiculous from Thiaw even putting a foot in there. In the lead up to that there's some joker sliding into a tackle and leaving the gap for Olmo to sneak into. Think it was Tonali. Just unbelievable.

It's so fucking poor from Thiaw. But such brain dead play from Gordon trying to play Tonali in behind instead of seeing things out and then diving in to tackle players all over the pitch right at the end still. Despicable.
