  1. It makes total sense tbf, but would be a shame to lose him from the league.

Why do you say it makes sense?

He was born in Paris - they have loads of money - Chelsea were rubbish last season. And can just see him in a PSG shirt slotting in very well.

Ah, okay. Was wondering if something had happened.

Keep forgetting Chelsea are out of the Champions League!

  2. I think long term Kennedy. But Townsend worked his ass of for Rafa when he was here.

And then fucked off as soon as he could. He was good here, but he's been and gone, why should he get another chance to play for us?

    Oh boy ...

So if he was such a mercenary and couldn't wait to be gone, please explain why Rafa would be bidding for this supposed reprehensible person?

Because he's hamstrung by the board and he knows the player? I'm not saying he wouldnt be a pro here, I'm saying he made his bed. Fuck him. Can I remind you he fucked off Rafa Benitez for Alan Pardew? He's been a nothing player most of his career, played his best football for us, and then binned it off instantly?

    Lies, all lies!

If he's spending £20 million on him, how can it be due to being hamstrung by the board?!

  3. Who’s to say we won’t be signing both Townsend and Kenedy?

This is true also. Townsend played upfront and off the striker a fair bit last season.

Maybe Rafa likes the idea of him playing off a front man this time around.

Just need to let Rafa do his thing man. I'd just be excited he'll be getting someone he clearly likes a lot if this is true.

if rafa feels he left on good enough terms to want him back who cares?  i'd much rather have kenedy but townsend played very well under rafa the short time he was here

Exactly, the guy almost kept us up

Unfortunately his play then attracted a lot of interest and his clause made it an inevitability that he would leave.

Now he's being painted as some villain. Extraordinary stuff.

  6. Well, it looks like Chelsea are being indecisive about Kenedy, which is a shame.

Rafa really liked Andros on and off the pitch, and got the very best out of him in his career really. He was so class for us in that short period.

Would be glad to have him back. Still just 26 years old too. Would be a clear sign that Rafa is getting exactly what he wants.

  7. Genuinely don't think Rafa is as obsessed about the budget as people might think.

He just wants to know what it is, and be allowed to spend it as he sees fit. We have multiple reports that he is fully aware of his budget, and that is good news IMO, and an important difference from previously already.

We have already been told that he has a vast list of players across all price brackets, and so will adjust purchases according to the budget given to him.

Think Rafa will do a good job of bringing in good and useful payers regardless of the budget provided.

He certainly does give a fuck about the budget when it’s as shit as what that idiotic fat cunt provides compounded by the fact his little useless prick of a chief executive has as much use as a chocolate fire guard. If a club of a decent standing pays the release fee he will be away if not he will for sure next summer. Rafa has had window after window of false promises and let’s not kid ourselves here if it wasn’t for the release fee he would be gone already and not one person could blame him.

This post is so angry and overly emotional man, and it completely imagines and expects the worst.

Rafa himself said just a month ago that his relationship with the owner is not as bad as people think, but that he will always fight for what's best for the club.

Think people are losing their cool a fair bit.

  9. Yeah Maddison had a fantastic season and looks a really good player. Had a good game against Chelsea in the cup too iirc. Would cost a lot to get Norwich to part with him so soon I reckon (only been in the first team for a year).

I really was stunned watching his highlights from the season. He looks a tremendous talent.

Can't believe that was his first season at that level, and he performed so well.

Well ... I guess Norwich is a team we have actually successfully done business with recently, without upsetting them with pathetic bids, so who knows.

  10. We've been linked with James Maddison as well as Grealish. Seen a fair bit of Grealish, but not really Maddison. Just watched his season highlights with Norwich and he looks very very impressive.

Stats wise he had a far more productive season than Grealish, and so quite surprised he isn't getting quite the same amount of hype. He really looks a fantastic attacking midfielder.

Pretty exciting for England who have not really produced these type of natural number 10s of late to have these two coming through. They are really young too, but have got a lot of playing experience in the Championship, which is great for them and England.

Would be a real shame if they join a prem club that doesn't continue to give them ample playing time. Newcastle would have been a fantastic option for either in that regard, but unfortunately it doesn't appear we can compete with the fees others will offer.

  11. Anthony Martial has decided he will not renew his contract, which is going into its final year, with Man Utd. He wants to leave the club.

Looking like he will end up at Spurs, as part of a deal that sends Toby Alderwiereld over to Man Utd, as Spurs have not come to agreement over a new contract with Toby.

So Spurs have a ton of attacking talent huh ... therefore at what point do you guys think we go cap in hand to Tottenham asking for Moussa Sissoko back on loan?

  12. Anyway ... Yoshinori Muto has been mentioned a few times now.

Remember him really shining early on in Germany and getting interest from a lot of big clubs.

Really liked the look of him. Anyone else a fan?

Perez esque from what I remember. Would help the old commercial side of revenue a lot though.

Haven't seen him in a while, but remember him being quite dynamic i.e. closing defenders down, running the channels, running with the ball at his feet, and had some good movement.

I really liked him. Looks like he was a bit in and out with a couple of injuries last season, but on the whole scored and assisted okay.

He's not an obvious high profile signing, but I'd be quite intrigued by it.
