I think they just dismissed that a £13m fee had been agreed, which was the report that came out.
That seems to make sense, as nothing can be agreed until his contract situation is sorted out.
-
I think we are going to sign the Ozyakup guy at Besiktas.
Besiktas are apparently just trying to get around paying Arsenal their sell on fee, by letting his contract run out and then re-signing him before selling him on to us. It's a risky move on their part though, as he could then bolt for free once his contract is up. Guess it depends on how confident they are in pulling that off.

Seemingly a lot of coin has gone on Shaqiri to Liverpool
Nice move. Very good alternative to Salah, as a left footer cutting in from the right side. Think he has a release clause of just £12 million too.

Oh my goodness

Fabregas is on the decline. Who's gonna do the running in that midfield? Mark Noble?
It looks a big move, but in reality it could go very badly, as you have hinted at.
Where is that guy's motivation going to be also? Arsenal, Barcelona, Chelsea ... and then West Ham where he will now be looked to as the main man without having the kind of support and quality around him that he is used to.
It's going to be interesting to see how it plays out. As a West Ham fan I'd be nervous. With that kind of money why not go for someone on the up and up? They're falling into a trap IMO.

I'm quite relaxed when i see clubs make these moves now. This is mostly due to last summer.
When West Ham bought Chicharito and Arnautovic I felt concerned, but ultimately it didn't mean anything, as we were far better than they were in the end.
I kind of like that we tend to be going for players that are hungrier and have something to prove, especially with Rafa in charge, I think that ultimately continues to serve us better.

Yaya Toure available for £1 a week! If only we'd finished a few places higher

Kits did so well Nike decided to release boots based on the Nigeria kit design too.

So apparently Sadio Mane move to Real Madrid is agreed in principle, but has now been delayed due to Zizou's departure.
Still expected to go through eventually.

Always knew you were a top guy chopey
Liam O'Brien is my 3rd favourite Newcastle player so TBF I'm not the best football judge to have on your side.
Oh man

Looking at the clip of that hit on Karius, it does seem Van Dijk shoves Ramos into him.
So was the concussion prior to even the first goal too?
Yep. First goal was scored in the 51st minute.
Oh wow. Well that is very interesting then.
Concussions are no joke. Have had a few friends that played american football. Concussions can have you doing some strange things.

Think it's Shelvey on about 70k
And this is comparing against West Ham for goodness sake! That is very worrying.

My goodness ... forget transfer fees, we are so behind on wages now it's scary. I see that tweet and I imagine West Ham would be happy to pay him £150,000 perhaps, maybe a bit more?
Isn't our highest wage like half of that?

I just think it's a really shrewd move.
Fellaini is a very useful player man. He's not the prettiest but I've always liked him.
Strong, aggressive, aerial threat and doesn't get scared by his own shadow. All key needs for that Arsenal team.
I don't agree sorry man
He's a crap midfielder, at his best when he plays closer to goal for flick ons and cause problems in the air.
Also I don't agree that's the problem with Arsenal's midfield tbh, their issue is none of them have any sort of discipline and the fact since Cazorla got injured there's been complete absence of guile from deeper positions.
Okay. Well it will be interesting to see if it materialises and how he would be used if he joins them.
Sounds like Fellaini is looking for more opportunities to play in the first 11, and so if he joins it seems he will be getting a chance in the first team to start with. Apparently Emery also tried to sign him for PSG, so he appears to be a fan.
Arsenal Fan TV are probably going to be fuming about it

Fair enough guys, thanks

Fellaini in talks with Arsenal
Wow ... surprising. But I have to say I kind of like the move. Would certainly give them an edge and a lot of toughness, which they have severely lacked for ages now. Very interesting.
I'm really beginning to think Unai Emery is going to do really well there.

Hernandez on a free, the Ashley way.
Would have no issue with this at all. Think he's a really decent striker. Really like the attributes he has.

Nigeria were embarrassing in the first half. They looked disorganised and half-asleep. The second was an improvement, and if it means that Onazi never sees the pitch in Russia, I am pleased with the result.
England is interesting because Kane and Sterling will trouble every team they play (one of the most dangerous attacking duos at the tournament, imo), but the depth in the squad is very average for a team that should have aspirations to win the World Cup.
I watched the game live. Man I had a good time in the Nigeria section. So much fun.
We played 4-3-3 and struggled badly with England's 3-4-3 in the first half. We then switched to a 3-4-3 in the second half to match up better, and we were far more comfortable and improved a lot. Thought we looked far more threatening then.
Great day out. Bumped into Kelechi from Arsenal fan tv. Dude was getting mobbed. Was quite funny

This formation really suits England.
Think you guys really have some great wing back options, and so it really opens up the pitch for the attacking midfielders playing off the front man.
Still a bit concerned about the central midfielders abilities to distribute the ball around consistently. Really think Shelvey and Wilshere should have gone with Henderson and Dier.
