Happy to see McCarthy mentioned again. Think we really need another DM.

Regardless of budget,I don't think we'll bring in anyone unless Rafa believes they can contribute. I can't be constantly annoyed with every signing because they aren't more expensive, it's too tiring.

This is the key thing for me. Rafa won't bring in people that he knows nothing about, just because he is told to do so a la Pardew etc.

Some may not be his first choices, but they will still be players he sees something in, and are valuable pieces.

Good news.

Mobile is what I should have said really. He's not a statue like Crouch as he will make runs in behind.

Last season must have given him a lot of confidence, as he played a fair bit for us and had a great ACON. Most importantly he was injury free.

Add to that a full pre season with Rafa and hey presto. Think he will be a pleasant surprise for us.

Was just thinking a striker we could potentially take a punt on is the Spanish striker Joselu that Stoke signed last summer, when we were also credited with having an interest. Could see him doing well in the Championship.

In these days the deals for Lejeune, Atsu and now Joselu have been really good.

Hope come the end of the season all three have shown to be exceptional value.

Praying the Lejeune injury isn't bad because he was looking so good man. Atsu was terrific yesterday and is beginning to show the kind of pedigree that had Chelsea after him originally.

It seems he's a big striker, but also likes to get in behind and is pretty mobile, which suits Rafa's approach. Have a sneaky feeling he'll be ace.

We had already lost two first team players to injury and he does that? Losing to Tottenham would have been dissapointing as it is, but no huge disgrace, especially as we were representing ourselves so well.

All of a sudden though we are down three first team players going into the next few games! Just incredible really.
