I guess there are people who's up for anything. But erotic fan fiction featuring Louise Taylor rimming you is next level gotta say.

3/10. As a whole the window has been a complete failure incoming and outgoing wise. Keeping our purples is of course all good but also kind of kicking the can down the road. We still have financial rules to adhere to whether they're PSR or the new ones whatever the fuck they are. That means we have to trade to build headroom. As many others think our starting 11 is good and should be able to keep pace with the european hopefuls - the issue is that they can't play every minute of every game. And the drop off in a lot of positions is huge. Also taking into account how the other teams have strenghtened there's just no other way to describe this window than a massive dropped opportunity. It's all well and good talking about Liverpool and Arsenal fans being unhappy with there business but they're already miles ahead of us. We needed totry and bridge the gap little by little and this time we just haven't done that.
-
Really don't think they'd need to go down the 'put out a statement route' either way. They've done loads of good since the takeover. Most of it tbf. But the january window where we really could've used some help and the summer window clusterfuck has been poor it has to be said. As for the PSR stuff - they've known about it and surely must have planned for it as well. It's not being spoiled or unreasonable to suggest that we really should have done better the past 8 or 9 months to give the team the best possible chance of success.
-
Tbf the other teams around us have strengthened as well in that time. One might even say that we’re risking being passed on the way by some. As well as some of the teams having stinkers of a season that year as good as we were.
-
No idea if this is aimed at me but it's just an alternative view imo. If we do have issues with PSR - we have to trade well. Gordon imo is the most expendable of our three biggest players and would have provided an alternative route for this summer. If that makes me an impatient idiot so be it.
-
Had we managed to get that for Gordon it'd been a 75 million profit in PSR terms. Which would have given us some real opportunities this window.
-
He was good the big bastard. They got him for around 5 million as well.
-
Since we need to trade to be able to spend I'd have been OK with Gordon leaving as well. Love him as a player but we do have an alternative there and there are loads of exciting wingers around Europe. Bruno and Isak are the two untouchables for me (of which I think Bruno will be here the longest regardless of how succesful we are this season).
-
Guehi would've been profitable in PSR terms if we managed to sell him for 30+ million after three years of service. Which I suppose is how we have to look at things these days.
-
The Tosin deal is really annoying I agree. But since Chelsea treat players as consumables that's always a risk. PSR-wise they'll do brilliant by selling him next summer for 30+ million pure profit. From his perspective he's at worst parked there for a year earning mega dosh. And from their perspective he'll finance 4-5 younger players from abroad.

I still hold on to that tiny bit of hope that we'll do something today. It's been an utter clusterfuck of a window in my opinion. We haven't strengthened positions that needs strengthening, we haven't got rid of the deadwood. The good thing (which in isolation is HUGE) is that we've managed to hold on to our big players - how much the other factors are a disturbance for their future none of us knows. But I guess most of the squad would want more competition for places and better players in the squad. If you're not bettering yourself through investment you're at best standing still - works in business and surely in football as well. I have no interest in laying the blame at someone in particular - this must go down as a collective failure. I sure hope we do better in the future though. As Eddie himself alludes to in regards to "UNITED" momentum is everything for this club, but as he's also said before - the players and club need to give the supporters something to feed off. And that would've been easier with a couple of new players in through the door as well as a roadmap of sorts as to what our intentions are for the stadium, training ground and our sporting ambitions. We have a superb manager and a good team of lads that surely would've deserved strengthening this summer. For us as supporters though, we need to get behind them and hope for the best.

Lewis Hall to miss rest of season with foot injury (Official)

Think Hall was fine last night tbh. He’s still young and learning. As soon as we started pegging them back in the second half he was superb. Perfect LB for a progressive team on the front foot. Not suited to backs-to-the-wall defensive performances though. But we have Kelly for that I suppose. -

Last 20 mins we were a resemblance of ourselves again. Thank fuck for that win. Get a couple of players in and spank Spurs silly on Sunday and it’s a great start. -
Absolutely and I understand that. Though he'd have to be Mother Theresa reincarnated and feed the children of England to make up the difference in transfer fees through personality and karma though. If I'm not mistaken there's been loads of noise regarding Lacroix and us since the takeover so he's surely someone at least Nickson has had on his list for quite some time.

Definitely want Isak to start and play the first 60-65 minutes. Be good for him actually getting to play some ball today instead of chasing shadows and punts. Would be nice if he could break his duck this season as well. Tonali should start for me as well as Trippier. Rest Burn, Longstaff and Gordon. Give Kelly a go at the LCB position and give Barnes a start. Hopefully we can start to click today and get through.
-
I’d rather have Lacroix and Kulu/Elanga for example than Guehi tbh. Would even leave us some change for January.

RIP Svennis. Awfully sad. As a bloke who grew up and now again live in Värmland Svennis has always been a source of inspiratIon and pride. A local lad done good in the huge world of football. To be able to do what he did, coming from where he did, in so many countries is immense really, probably the closest thing to Bobby Sweden has had. The world will be a darker place without him that’s for sure. His last role was as a Sporting Director here in Karlstad where I live. He just couldn’t get enough of the sport until the very end. Lovely man.

Set pieces and defending is Tindall. Possession, build up patterns and attacking play is Howe. I think. -

Good point but let’s be honest. The performance has been all over the place today. A few bright spots in Isak’s first 30 mins and Barnes. But in all I’m disappointed it has to be said. Let’s get some much needed signings in this week and go again. -
