  1. They’d probably ask for 45-50 million or something daft. For that money you’d have to be better than most of the current options. Bruno, Joelinton, Tonali and a fit Willock (I know, I know) are better imo. Gallagher is a more effective Longstaff in my view (even though Longstaff scored more last year).
  2. I’m not disputing that. IMO we don’t have a squad that is ahead of what we had last season. Not with the injuries (Lascelles, Botman, Miley and Wilson) we have and we really aren’t in a position to hope/expect for an injury-free season with our history. Again, IMO, we’re a couple of quality additions away from giving ourselves the best possible chance of top 5 (if that’s indeed the goal). Don’t really see what’s bed wetting about that?
  3. I probably should have added “at the start of the season” which is what I thought you were talking about. ie where we’re at now. First game we hade Bruno, Joelinton, Tonali, Anderson and Longstaff all involved. This year we’ll have the above plus Willock minus Tonali and Anderson?
  4. Tbf he had that last season as well. (Available players) Didn’t really work out though. I think we all (including Howe) expected a couple more in by now to give us more depth by adding quality. Death, taxes and an injury ravaged NUFC are the most certain parts of life. This far it’s been a piss poor window, that might change in the next two weeks.

    Marc Guehi

Of the realistic PL CB’s we could lure he’s definitely in the top 3 I’d say. I’d have him above Gabriel, Van de Ven, Ake and Akanji as well taking age and suitability for our way of playing into account.
  6. Aftonbladet Plus are streaming it.
  7. All them RWs and no mention of Kulusevski. 😥
  8. This was always going to be a tough window after the season we had last year. We’ve probably lost out on a few bonus payments from sponsors due to not getting Europe and as we all know had to scramble around to sort out the PSR situation. That said though - questions do have to be asked about how it got to this - the rules have been in place for a while now and we have known about the losses in previous seasons. We must have planned something else that went tits up along the way. I have a lot of faith in our executive team and management team but it seems to me that some rather difficult decisions will have to be made soon (and I don’t count selling Anderson or Minteh as that (as sad as it is selling young players)). If we want to do serious business we will have to get rid of a couple of favorites I presume (Tripps and Miggy perhaps). We do have the foundation of a really good team though - but in my opinion we don’t really have the depth for a charge on three fronts unless we stay absolutely injury free which won’t happen. If the situation gets as bad as it did last season it’s really not bad luck either in my opinion. Hopefully we get a RW and a CB in before closing of the window - I keep banging the Kulusevski drum but I think he’d fit in perfectly for a reasonable outlay as well.
  9. Get Kulu in. He'll do really well here. Could do a hell of a lot worse than him this summer.
  10. Yep, I said as much tbf. 😀 On top of that I’d presume we get a cut of the sales through Adidas and JD as well as an upfront payment of some kind from both.
  11. Isn’t the gist of it all that every sale through the official club shops is around 50% profit (after the wholesale price is counted of course)? So say we sell 250K shirts all over the world - that equates to 10M quid (based on an average profit of 40 quid per shirt). And that’s just the shirt. Add all training gear and stuff. On top of that I’d presume we get a cut of the sales through Adidas and JD as well as an upfront payment of some kind from both. We won’t get the reported 40M is my guess (with European football this year there would surely be added bonuses). Probably somewhere around 25M is my best guess.
  12. Love that Magpie top tbh. Training gear overall looks class.
  13. I’ve been banging the Kulusevski drum before and I’d say he’s a perfect Eddie Howe-player. Seems like a grounded person, knows Isak well, has a lot of potential. He’s extremely tenacious, good with the ball and I think he’d go on to be a top top player with us. Would be a perfect RW addition for us and dare I say - I’d have him above Raphinha for where we are as a club.
  14. I think Kang-In Lee would be a good signing. The few times I’ve seen him he’s looked really good technically, tenacious and like he’s got a good engine on him. Seems like a good player to rotate in and out of our midfield to ease the burden of the others. He’s also a good set piece taker and likes a go from distance.
  15. Oh I won’t protest that. They’re hideous. Doesn’t make them them less expensive though. 😅
  16. A pauper’s choice in comparison to Tonali’s Richard Mille though.
  17. I was probably a tad harsh. There was a good player in there at one point granted. Not too sure I’d like us to spend 20-25 million to try and maybe find that again though. Seems a bit risky to me for where we are and what we need.
  18. Like Kilman a lot. But we do have quite a few left footed defenders already so can’t really see where he’d fit. Wouldn’t want to lose Anderson either tbh.
  19. He was good in a ”Big physical bastard” way not much of baller though. This is anything but a sexy rumor to say the least. Could be an upside to it of course but reality is if Minteh goes in the opposite direction I don’t think we’re the winners in the deal. 🫠
  20. That fucking video. 🥰 We’re back baby!
  21. This. Can’t wait to see all the other gear aside from the home kit though.
  22. Someone's been in a bit of a rush setting up Typeform I guess. Easily fixed though (as are most of the bugs encountered so far). Absolutely hate the navigation though. Works a lot better in mobile though.
  23. As pathetic a display as this is by Man City we could/should have taken care of this ourselves. Can’t be counting on others to help us. ?
  24. Well fought and well earned win. Keep what needs keeping, get rid of some deadwood, strengthen the squad and let’s go again next season! A nice way to end what has been an amazing, frustrating, bewildering, at times disappointing and ultimately OK season. We go again!
