No shit. Point being; I don't think there's much chance Pardew's going to come out saying we are looking for a much better striker than Ba. Especially not since most reports suggest (as do the fan expectations) that we will only play with one out-and-out striker. Would hardly do Ba's confidence the world of good either. And as far as I can tell Ba comes with quite a good record behind him from different clubs and leagues. He's hardly a nobody.

As things stand right now Ba along with Best IS our top striker.

In some perverse way it would be rather funny if cwarr07 was right. That would be quite the "Fuck you, haters!"-moment. And I don't think the other chap will cough up the cash either.

It would be better to let Forster fight it out with Harper next season and send Krul on loan. Forster hasn't had a chance with us yet and from what I've seen he seems to be the better prospect. But if we loan him out again next year we'll probaby lose him.

On the bright side. Gold Puma logo probably means gold letters and numbers which should mean stripes on the back. Yay!

The club and the badge are bigger than Ashley, bigger than Carroll. We've been through hell and back relatively speaking since SBR's departure. But I won't ever stop supporting NUFC. My love for the club will always be there. And honestly, not even Ashley can do anything about that.
