I have to say that this summer (perhaps since Rob Scanlon started at NUFC) nufc.co.uk has been really good with updates and interviews. This is probably the first time in a long while that the NUFCtv subscription seems a good service as well. No shit. Point being; I don't think there's much chance Pardew's going to come out saying we are looking for a much better striker than Ba. Especially not since most reports suggest (as do the fan expectations) that we will only play with one out-and-out striker. Would hardly do Ba's confidence the world of good either. And as far as I can tell Ba comes with quite a good record behind him from different clubs and leagues. He's hardly a nobody.

As things stand right now Ba along with Best IS our top striker.
