Woohoo, Venables! \o/ i'm hoping there were others considered tbh
-
his last game against Spurs for me. It's like he became a genuinely good keeper for one night only Luton game was shocking like, horrible misjudgement after horrible misjudgement. We played Wimbledon away a few days later and conceeded 4. The concensus was 'if there were guns in the croud he would have been shot'
-
obviously if Ashley decides not to sell up he'll be in a position to appoint a long term manager, surely that'll end the reluctance of those approached before Kinnear
-
hilarious aye he's a Doorman at Walkabout in Durham amongst other places, had a word with him 2 years back, real gentle giant tbh
-
top manager Jol, shame we didn't get him then
-
not quite in Beardsley's league to be fair but aye, best keeeper in my lifetime, not that that's saying much like. Hooper, Srnicek, Hislop, Karelse, Harper, Wright are the others to make premiership appearances for us like
-
first Kinnear comes out saying Barton 'has been linked with every mass murder' then he'saying he didn't know Beye was 'that good' trying to pip Roeder for the most amateurish manager award it looks like. Hope Beye's good form continues, he'll be captain by the end of the season tbh

Could flirting with relegation be the way forward?

Given's positioning for the WBA goal was poor tbh -
Becasue its near impossible for a british manager to drop the england U21 captain for that reason alone. Kinnear isn't British, wahey! it's daft though, if they have a backbone it wouldn't mean f*** all to them
-
seems people are starting to sus Taylor out, so why the fuck is he anywhere near the team
-
reading the first line makes the opposite case to be honest
-
doesn't need to bring back Mort. Just someone who understands football and business
-
Shola represents everything that has been wrong with this club for four years tbf
-
aye, Lampard's goal last night was better, fantastic finish Left peg as well. best player so far this season for me like

the likes of Parker, Bowyer, Faye and now Butt have all had their fair share of abuse tbh. Guthrie's starting to get it
-
Good post. ruined by the last line tbh. Dont see any striker at the club as effective as Martins tbf

Bassong and Cacapa are so far ahead of Taylor it's daft man Taylor is in the team as the big stopper. Those two are far better defenders but pair them with Coloccini and we might be vulnerable in the air. We are even with Taylor in there tbh. he stops f*** all and backs off all the time though. Anyone would think he's the sweeper If there is one thing that I find unforgiveable in a defender it is when they continously back off an advancing attacker. I hate it with a passion. It is probably my biggest problem with Taylor. Justin Hoyte is another who specializes in this brainless tactic. Face up to the player, try and time it right and get a challenge in. I have seen Taylor back off till he is literally just outside the 6 yard box. It is criminal. If anything you want to make sure you get your challenge in before the opposing player is in the penalty box for goodness sake. It makes me cry. I've wondered about that for years, but it happens so often I can only think that it must be coached as the best way to defend. none of our other defenders do it/did it though. Bramble would charge at people all the time, even Ramage knew when not to back off

yeah we really need a player, who can't pass, or trap the ball,or hold the ball up, or link up with strike partner, ..etc etc. yeah we do considering our other strikers are made up of players who are either shite, inexperienced, permanently injured or dont want to be here

17 goals in his first season which kept us up and he's done f*** all? aye whatever.
