Not bring Cisse back? I'd bring him on at HT if we're still drawing/losing. But i'd just keep the same team, with us at home, it should be a very attacking team, and the only person to really drop is Obertan, but at the same time he has pace, and was involved in us scoring at Arsenal. In reality Cisse probably will start though. I'd agree with that. I like Cisse, but I'm not sure about his combination with Ba. It means Ba dropping deeper, and he doesn't really have the mobility for that secondary striker role. He ends up losing the ball a lot. The formation against Arsenal looked promising and I'd give it another outing. In the first half, it seemed to bring out the best in HBA. Sorry, mate, but that's biggest load of bollocks you've spouted since you said Williamson was better than Coloccini.
  2. I wish Souness was 20 years younger so I could beat the living shite out of him with a clear conscience. That is all.

  4. Fitness doesn't explain his mistakes. His fitness should've been maintained during his injury layoff, anyway. Unless you mean match fitness? Which should increase game-by-game, as opposed to what you're suggesting.
  5. I don't think it's an extreme position to point out that Williamson has been a total liability recently.
  6. Careful, anymore strengthening of your stance and people will talk.
  7. I agree with a lot of what you're saying, but nor is there a lot of dignity in saying he's done 'nothing wrong' in reference to a player who's incompetence has cost us goals in each of our last 4 games.

Where do you think we should be in the table with our squad?

Aye, find solutions. If only it was as simple as that. Mariappa and Ridgewell were probably the solutions. Not his fault we didn't invest.
  10. Really? Barring 3 or 4 games this season I think he's been top notch both defensively and from an attacking point of view. Granted, yesterday he was very poor and Perchy did well when he came on. I am not convinced by him at all, not calling his work rate, I could play and work hard but I would be utter s****. I am questioning his ability as a defender, if he remains our first choice LB next season we are in big reouble. OK, that's your opinion, but personally I have a lot of confidence in him as a defender and a left back. He's just had a bad few games thats all. Remember Enrique for his 1st 2 seasons looked just as bad as Santon is at the moment. Much bigger worries in the squad. Don't think Santon has looked as bad as Enrique did at all. Enrique had a few moments of madness - especially in his first two seasons - but he always looked like a natural defender who'd go on to be something special.

Not in England he shouldn't. And certainly not in our side. He's a wide player. Fortunately Pardew now agrees with me.

I think we had 19 points from 16 games when Wullie's mate was sacked last season. Atrocious indeed.

tbf overall, for all sunderland have better than simpson (just, in bardsley) and williamson they don't have a midfielder or forward or, purely imo a centre half (when taylors fit) who'd get in our starting XI We have a better team overall, no doubt. But the focus is on the weak links who are costing us every single game.

OK, for the third time: name some of these players worse than Simpson and Williamson who are starting on a regular basis for the clubs around us. You need to look at the table, btw. Norwich and Stoke are 12th and 13th, man.

what? sunderland have got average-poor players, they're just being carried along by new manager syndrome atm You were talking about the clubs 'around us' having plenty of average-poor players too. Liverpool and Chelsea are either side of us if you hadn't noticed. Name some of these players from the clubs around us to support you point. Our weak links are far weaker than those of the mentioned clubs, and you know it.

No reason Hatem can't establish himself as one of the best wide players in England.

Who have Chelsea, Liverpool or even Sunlun got starting every game that compare in terms of quality to Williamson or Simpson?

He rates him within the context of a squad he didn't assemble. Not the same as rating him per se. I didn't want Pardew to be appointed, neither did you. Only one of us has painted ourselves into a corner, mate.

How many goals does he have to score from the RW before folk shut the f*** up with this second striker bullshit? It was bad enough in Novemeber.

I f***ing hate Pardew man. His workrate ffs. Argh. Go buy Kuyt this summer, you moron. Was gonna post something similar, it seems like nit-picking when he is praising him but that quote really tells you all you need to know about Pardew and why we'll only go so far with him. He uses his interviews as a tool to instill discipline and confidence in his players. We know this. Very little of it is intended to provide insight to the fans.

6th with a team patched up with Championship dog shite and he's failing to get the best out of his players. Right.

He's a professional athlete. I'm sure he's capable of running up and down a line between long intervals for 90 minutes.
  23. Yep. And tactics aren't even the reason we conceded the goal. A usual it was down to one of the weak links letting us down.
