  1. Especially not when it's compounded by a perceived lack of effort.
  2. The only incredible thing about Simpson is the fact there have been 2 worse regular starters this season. Absolutely incredible.
  3. I get the distinct impression that Obertan was Pardew's choice and his choice alone. Anything out there that conflicts with that?

He looks to me like the type that could play as a false winger. Essentially providing cover to his full-back and making himself an option in space higher up the park with clever runs - something he's good at.
  5. There bloody well is, whether Pardew considers him one or not.
  6. Even an injured Obertan is a better option than Hatem for the RW.

    Watch your mouth, cocker.

It's quite clearly nothing to do with what he's saying or doing. More to do with the fact that the alternatives all present a laundry list of problems.
  9. Kenny Daglish: “hasn’t he done this before?”

    Alan Smith

Don't compare Smith with Bowyer, man.

Athletically and technically probably the worst player I've seen start more than 10 games for us. Wish him nothing but the absolute worst.
  12. Very impressed with Swansea today and this season in general. Same goes for Norwich. Two teams that play football and do it with such enthusiasm. Brillaint managers Rodgers and Lambert by the look of it. The same was said about Roberto Di Matteo this time last year, Owen Coyle 2 years ago, and Phil Brown 3 years ago. Don't forget 'Olly'. Olly did an OK job with a dreadful squad.

  14. The implications are exactly the same for Ryan Taylor, though. Honestly, what a pointless post, Madras.
  15. And that superb pundit on MOTD mistook him for Steven Taylor.

I'd say so. Especially given the dire alternatives.
  17. So glad we replaced Routledge with Obertan.
  18. tbf we had spent money elsewhere on the team. had we to compete with those types of club then i doubt we'd have achieved what we did. (is this a deja vu moment as i'm sure i've posted very similar before ?) The point is, 71 points is not an insurmountable tally. Arsenal can't blame huge investment for their failure to compete.
  19. City and Chelsea finished on 71 points last season. We managed the same figure with Dabizas and O'Brien in the centre of defence. The 'oil money' shouldn't have hurt Arsenal as much as it has.
  20. They've been undermined too easily, though. Last season they finished 12 points off Man Utd.

    Basically. Such a tool.
  22. As much as that criticism is ridiculously harsh, I can understand their anger and frustration. 7 years since they won a trophy and 8 years since they were genuine title contenders.

What is it with him and picking fights with incredibly bad and/or overrated midfielders?
