  1. It’s quite telling for me that nothing at all has been broken by any official channels.

There are lots of assumptions that a bid has been made. Nothing at all from the club or Ashley’s lawyers.

There are no synergies at all with this and the Barry Moat saga. There hasn’t even been confirmation that PCP are bidding (I know there’s now photographic evidence in the public domain of them meeting). I think this is definitely end of days for Ashley. The appearance of Amanda Staveley at the Liverpool game and subsequent photographing of her with Ashley last week will definitely be on purpose. It gives us a little hope that things are moving on and at some point in the future there’ll be a carefully managed statement which pays tribute to Mikes time at the club and announces the sale. I’d imagine it would even take a few days for them to agree the content of a press release. So you never know. Last week could have been to seal the deal, put it back in the hands of the lawyers and maybe, just maybe there’ll be some news before Christmas saying there’s now exclusivity and deal is being ratified with the FA. I would imagine that the value of the deal will also be undisclosed if Ashley isn’t walking away with a massive profit as well.....

  2. Maybe Richard Desmond will have the exclusive in one of his papers tomorrow hence the fist pump.

Given everything to date has been cloak and dagger, the fact that they’ve allowed themselves to be conveniently photographed in public suggests there’s movement or maybe that PR cunt is just trying to get our hopes built up befor they’re dashed on Christmas Eve with news the fat fucker is going to spend no money, get us relegated to league two and shrink the size of the ground to built a giant sports direct.

  3. Thing is the TV deals simply push up the player prices and wages. Clubs might have more cash but arguably they simply have to spend it to keep up with the pace. Longer term if done properly the value of the club increases as a vehicle for whatever you’re promoting. Ashley’s decision to advertise his tat emporium(s) for nowt could bite him on the arse here. If he’d been paying the going rate it would have increased turnover and subsequently the value of the club.

  4. The shit hit the fan for him yesterday. Suspended from work apparently.

I think it said that he was expecting a ban. Why should he get off with that. Make him go to every game home and away. That’ll be perfect bushmeat for the little scrote

  5. I guess if he sells now he also gets to walk away with any cash that is paid to the club as part of the TV payments and other revenue as it’s his. God knows how much that is but if you say hypothetically it’s 40m that takes the walk away value to 290m, coupled to the fact he won’t have to spend 20m or so in January. Not beyond the realms of possibility that he would still consider taking the money and running. It wouldn’t surprise me if the final amount was undisclosed so he could at least save face. I’d say it’s unlikely he would take any less than he’s put in with an uplift for interest.....

  6. The Chronicle has shared the story on their Facebook account. Some of the comments are pearlers. My favourite - “Leave the lad alone he was giving birth to their next manager” ????

  7. Of course they could just be doing everything in secret like most companies. The company I work for is merging with another energy company and despite the fact they’ve been talking for months with countless NDAs signed we only found out the same time as the public.

It’s worth mentioning that breaching non disclosure agreements can result in prosecution. Therefore there’s no chance of any further news until there’s something concrete I reckon.

Am starting to think that they may well tie it in to the 125th anniversary stuff.....

  8. the cynic in me is increasingly thinking this is just a way to get some easy publicity for her rather than actually being serious about buying the club.

If it had of been just about publicity she’d have been taking every opportunity to talk bollocks and tell us all how Messi was signing in January etc etc etc. Silence probably means something is happening.  I know it might seem like a distant 2 week memory but even the talk of a firm bid came out of the blue. I can see at least another two weeks before we hear anything else....

  9. I don’t believe the Liverpool conspiracies. The owners don’t want to sell therefore they won’t give two fucks whether we get taken over or not. It’s not as though there’s even loads of noise from their fans for the current owners to go.

I think the deafening silence means something is definitely going on..... plus if it wasn’t I reckon PCP would be coming out to strongly deny it.

  10. Amanda Staveley and PCP Partners are rumored to have taken over Premier League club Newcastle United at £ 300 million from the original owner, Mike Ashley.

The Staveley-led group has been discussing with Mike Ashley after signing an undisclosed deal and has entered its due diligence to assess the club's finances.

It is now believed that PCP Partners estimated the value of Newcastle United worth £ 300 million and investment in players will be made when the agreement of both sides is successfully signed.

Report from the UAE reported Amanda Staveley wants all the dealings to be dealt with before December this year to give Rafa Benitez a chance to plan the player transfer strategy in early 2018.

The current owner, Mike Ashley stated that he will only sell the club to PCP Partners if the group is ready to bring Newcastle United to a higher level, and it is clear that Staveley will succeed in his efforts to buy United because of his promise to provide financial support to Rafa Benitez in the transfer window later.

Reports in the United Kingdom last week say that Staveley will channel £ 500m to Benitez in two upcoming transfer windows.

A situation where Newcastle United is able to afford the player he wants is easier than the current situation if Staveley is legally owner of the club.

"The experience I have will be fully utilized to deal with the takeover of this Premier League club," said Amanda Staveley.

Previously Staveley was involved in buying and selling to help Sheikh Mansour for taking over Manchester City in 2009.

  11. Apparently Nonceson’s sister twittering he’ll be out soon so Ready to Groom are debating whether they should sign him up. Some daft twat even suggesting he could play elsewhere in Europe because the UK is in the minority of countries where the legal age of consent is 16. They gewgled it.....
